Instead of his normal circular logic, here he describes what he believes Coleman must go thru to lift the weights he did
-
Stop listening after he referred himself as an athlete.

The grapefruit fucker speaks the truth.
I'm 40. Just don't have the "rage" anymore like in my 20s, so you have to try to find other motivating factors for the gym.

Having an ex wife and paying gallons of support money should do the trick for most at your age.
-
LOL. That sounds about right, but hope I never have to go to that place to find the "rage"
Come to think of it, I'm not actually sure what motivates me these days. I guess simply never wanting to go above a certain pants size.
-
I didn't find that very interesting. Kinda dumb but not interesting.

crazy ass talking kai
go for a lil stroll.
and what fool on here said ronnie was 5'9"?
-
and what fool on here said ronnie was 5'9"?
The same guy that sold him that outfit?
-
It's not that deep!! Let's be real!!
-
I disagree with Kai
Ronnie is a good Christian boy who loves Jesus.. ;D ;D ;D
-
It's not that deep!! Let's be real!!
It's not suppose to be deep. Its different from all of the other non-sense he spits alluding to the moon and the stars or his chi or whatever the fuck he is usually going on about. Its just some straight up shit. thats my point.
-
Kai is just half-ass explaining that we all like to be hyped up with rage to push some heavy ass weight!!! Why do ya think I turn up some "Droppin plates" when I throw the weight around.....
-
with all the test, gh, roids these guys are on they shouldn't have any problems with motivation for lifting heavy
-
Like the ol'
Tito24 Mars would say: maybe he likes to lift heavy? I highly doubt there's anything deeper than that, though I'm not taking anything away from Ronnie. It takes guts to get under that much weight for a squat. When I was lifting heavy, doing double and triples for squats, I'd be fucking shitting my pants before every set. I can't even imagine getting under 6+ plates :o

Ditto

i was going to make a thread about something similar to this. how intensity and weight are related. people asssume that when you become stronger, its just as easy to lift the new heavier weight as it was to lift the lighter weight back when you werent as strong. heres the concept..
"relative effort"= if your stronger, you dont have to push as hard to lift a certain weight. so for ronnie to lift 800lbs, well, yeah thats a whole lot of weight, but theres weaker guys out there who dont lift as much weight as him but still put out as much effort if not more.. they just arent capable of producing as much force per unit of effort.
for ronnie to lift 800lbs, that takes 800lbs of force. that might be his 2 rep max. and your 2 rep max might be 200lbs. both of you do a single with your 2 rep max weight. that should be equal effort??? wrong. in reality, lifting more weight takes more effort, and more strength. strength capacity is just that - capacity. its a potential. you have to push yourself to realize that potential. you have to increase your effort to tap into that extra strength capacity.
-
Absolute bullshit .. so you have to have a lot of rage and anger in you to lift heavy weights ?
He's describing Coleman as a potentially dangerous and aggressive guy just because he's able to push himself in the gym.

Ronnie looks similar to this Salmon-look at the nose.

Proof of Evolution.

I dont think its rage.Ive squatted 942lbs and never ever felt rage. For me its only the rush of having that kind of weight on your back.Your eyes feel like they are going to explode out of your head,my nose will usually bleed and I could feel the muscles ready to pop.Its the feeling of that kind of weight gives you.Same with the deadlift,I have pulled 788 and over 755 probably 30 times and everytime it feels like Im going to get seriously hurt, but that feeling is what drives you,its being right on the edge of being crushed and hurt and getting the lift that drives you.
-
you must be a monster ::) ::)

LOL wtf???
i tend to avoid putting myself in positions where my body feels like its going to die or get severely crippled
-
Kai explained it in his usual space-cadet manner, but he's basically right.
I tell eople all the time that train with me...."get mad at that mother fukker...don't let it win"

I think he was just assuming, it's quite rare that people posting on here actually lift.
-
Agree with kai from a personal stand point

It doesn't take more effort for the stronger lifter to lift the weight.

kai does som cool interviews... at least hes talkin about the sport instead of what he bought,, a tv show, bakin cupcakse talkn bout his diet,,, or the best of doing 3 sets of 10...
topics related to the idea of lifting weights n bbn and can be identified with by everyone when they themselves lift and experience instead of how it is to stand onstage against so and so... which many cant relate to although they live a similar lifestyle in regrds to training and diet.
much of the game is mental anyway and thats what his cool interviews contain, the thinking behind etc
