Any of you panty sniffers catch UFC Primetime last night? Brock is looking good and Cain is looking scary. This should be a hell of a fight. Total tossup!

Stand up-wise I can see Velasquez doing the things that Mir couldn't..
effective kicking and keeping the right distance to land hands...
also see Velasquez as being a lot stronger on the ground than either Mir or Carwin..

Cain has the better overall coaching staff and access to bad ass fighters to train with. Brock's sparring and rolling dosen't look as intense as Cains either (although he does swing ropes and lift heavy things pretty good though). ::)

Even if Brock is scared of getting hit...there IS NO WAY Cain hits as hard as Carwin. Carwin punched himself out on Brocks head and Brock still stood back up.
Hard to deny the heart of a man that took that beating and stood back up. I will never doubt Lesnar again until he is defeated.

Cain's got way more technique not only in his punches, but overall striking, Most people who've never trained (you), don't realize a well placed, well timed strike is sometimes just as effective as a plain old hard strike. Brock will find that out, and he will fold himself in half once again.

Like I said before, even if Brock gets hit 'on the button' or wherever you wish, he has shown that he has the inhuman ability of recovering.
Brock is a on an entirely different scale when it comes to aggression and strength. He relies on that heavily. NOBODY has been able to come close to conquering it.

Have you watched any of Lesnars fights? He got saved by the bell and ran away when he was in trouble. The next round Carwin fainted after the bell sounded and Lesnar laid on top of him. What recovery? He has shown an ability to absorb some punishment without being finished ( in exactly one fight). Carwin came very close to conqouring it. Cain will conqour it.

When your the UFC HW champion and supposedly a top P4P fighter, you parry, you counter, you clinch, you shoot, or you slug it out--- you don't fucking run like a bitch. When has Machida flat out turned his back on his opponent and ran then thrown himself on the ground in a heap? Machida actually used his footwork, cut corners well and was always in position to counter. You're ignorance is starting to scare me whitebelt.

When they get beaten to a pulp and run away, you commend them for their "defensive skills" and their ability to take punishment. When they get destroyed by game competition and defeat weak competition, you hail them as great fighters at the top of their weight class. When another fighter dominates, wins or finishes fights, the excuses never stop. He didn't fight this guy or that guy, hes overrated, blah blah blah.
Brock Lesnar is a great wrestler and a very strong guy. He is also a pathetic fighter. He cant stand, he can't submit and relies exclusively on a 30lb+ weight advnatage over every opponent he faces. It is just a matter of time before he is exposed. You clowns better get your book of excuses ready.

Fact of the matter, what I said was true, all the MMA experts here predicted Brock to get KO'd at the hands of the undefeated monster named Carwin and he didn't....no matter how, he still won the fight. And now they are all doing the same thing with Cain......everybody Brock fights is going to "expose" him. Since he's already lost, doesn't that mean he's been exposed?

Yes, I completely agree. Brock turning his back and running from Carwin is not good technique and should not be compared to Machida. But, the guy has less than 10 fights under his belt and he was up against the most powerful puncher in MMA. I'm willing to cut him some slack.
Also, Carwin is not his 1st legit fight. Herring and Mir are no slouches.
Lastly, I'm not a big Brock fan. He does win largely in part because of his size/strength advantage, not he's fighting skills. And he's a cocky POS. That said, he is a specimen to behold. It's very rare to come across a man with that much size, strength, cardio, athleticism, aggression and mental fortitude. Watching him evolve and dominate in the best sport in the world is very entertaining.

The main strength of JDS is his standup, and he exclusively used that strength to decisively beat Roy Nelson in every round (not allowing Roy to take him down either). I don't see how decisively and thoroughly beating your opponent means you're "stumped" or lacking in "tools" to beat that opponent.

Well said...Brock is a freak of nature. Personally I want to see him get beat, but after thr Carwin fight I will never doubt him again until someone beats him. Might as well enjoy the show. He fighting the best HW in the biggest org in the world while learning the sport. Enough said.

My point exactly. JDS had Nelson rocked for most of the fight and could not finish him with his standup or any type of ground game. He hit a wall, and was stumped. He won the fight, but showed he is limited in his skills and his striking power is suspect. How many guys can take punches to the chine for 3 rounds and still be standing? You act like Nelson is unstoppable?? He has been KO'd before.

I don't care either way really, I just don't agree that he was stumped, that and he has never turned his back and run away from his opponent, then going fetal.

Jds was stumped. Up until that point he had always been able to finish his opponents. Suddenly, he gave everything he had to Nelson, and Nelson was still standing.
