If ANYONE including the most devout Christian ever thought he/she was without sin is, well....wrong at the very least.

Just because someone reads the bible from front to back doesn't meant they're a scholar. Do you actually know what it takes and how long it takes to even understand it COMPLETELY? Just because you read a verse of scripture doesn't mean it's the be all to end all. You clowns take one verse of scripture and think that's it? Hahahahaha!

Just as I thought! I know a couple of people that are not even close to being religious that have read the bible because they actually like to know what they're talking about. Even though they're not scholars they still know way more than you do. For them it's a mere pastime though. For you as a "devout" christian it should be of out most importance to read all of 'god's word', don't you think??
Maybe you enjoy getting spoon fed by priests? Do you give them money too?

Lets really talk about the bible and why King James wanted most of the homosexual content eliminated, with rumors of him being homosexual...Along with how many times the bible has been rewritten to fit the "times". How "the church" when it was a governing state told people how they should depict the bible....How about the 1000 year war or how about the Spanish Inquisition??? Maybe how Columbus raided and forced natives of the islands he landed on to convert to christianity if not force them to anyway....Lets go on about how wonderful the christian religion has been so wonderful.....
-
People ask me why I'm not married yet.
I say 'would you get on a plane if it had only a 60% chance of making it to its destination?'
-
Go ahead, get started.
You got me started....I guess you are falling back on blind faith yet again lol

I'll address your question tomorrow (it's 11:25 and I'm going to bed) as soon as you address what you seem to accuse me of. You have very little idea of what my circumstances were that caused my divorces, that being said, you seem to think that the scripture does not allow divorce under any circumstance which couldn't be futher from the truth. Pretty sure in the book of Matthew it states even though God hates divorce it is allowed in the case of adultry......
“Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery” (Matthew 19:9; see also Matthew 5:31, 32).
So before any of you clowns bring this up on my behalf and think that I'm any less of a Christian because I got divorced, remember that part of the Book before you say crap.....but this IS getbig, you all hide and will say what you will. Yes, in EACH case adultry was committed....no, not on my part but if you would like for me to go over it again, here ya go.
1. Left ME for another WOMEN. (there are a few on here that knew my ex and me during that time and could verify if needed) Homosexuality/adultry
2. Married for 9 months, literally caught her with another man in MY bed.
3. Crazy, violent and a cheat.
4. Very happily married, no sign of being unstable......and a Christian.

The funny thing is that christians have higher divorce rates than non-christians: http://www.religioustolerance.org/chr_dira.htm

On a side note, merely an observation about the hypocrasy of many Christians....
Most Christians will go on and on about homosexuality being an abomination to god (old testament) yet Jesus never spoke on that hot button issue, however he did speak on divorce. Jesus said if you divorce for ANY reason except adultery, and you remarry, you and the person you married are commiting adultery and are in danger of hellfire. Yet 50+% of Christians are divorced and remarried, many that I know for the typical incompatibility reasons, not the adultery victims.. yet they don't talk too much about that in Church or internet forums..
In addition, they will quickly ignore so many laws from the Old Testament saying they don't apply anymore since Jesus visited, yet when it is convenient for them, will pull out the Old testament law to make a point about homosexuality. So in a nutshell, Jesus thought it important enough to address divorce but not homosexuality.. I just find the hypocrasy a little overwhelming.
As to the topic, been divorced X3.. so I'm scewing the hell out of the percentages.

many of you got divorced because you did not keep your eyes open before marriage.

Just a personal opinion here.... I can only speak for myself but suspect it may apply to others.. I have been married 3 times. 1st marriage was at 19 because in the small town farming community I grew up in that is what you did when you graduated, you went to work and got married. Lasted all of 6 yrs because we just grew up different and apart. Still friends. Second one was to a local national in Okinawa. Was a great marriage for 6 yrs but lesson learned, being married to a local national in their country is pretty cool, not so cool when they find themselves thousands of miles away from home at an Air Force base in Oklahoma. Lasted 6 yrs, had a lot of fun and good memories, but didn't end so hot. Last one was 14 yrs.. still friends but the relationship turned into a roomate type thing with no real romance or intimacy.
so 3 relationships, over the course of 29 yrs, learned from each, have good memories from each. As life moves along, sometimes we change in many ways, the person we are with changes, and the relationship faulters. Kudos to those who have been married a long long time.. many of them are happy, but I know many who just don't have the guts to pull the trigger and get the divorce they dream of.... I just happen to be able to pull the trigger..
