Why do Czechs, Fin's, and Swede's make up half the hockey players in Europe when there only 1/20th the pop. I mean I know it's to do with the cold, but even russian's don't compare per capit, or Norway, or Poland etc.

in sweden growing up you pretty much play either football of hockey
we have had Alot of amazing players also. I guess peter forsberg is the most famous
I think 50+ from sweden in NHL
and we won the damn olympics also. which is pretty insane.

But why do the danes and norwegians suck so bad. Or the Polish etc. I don't get it. I Finns and Swede are as hardcore as canucks, than almost no one else even plays the sport. There isn't even a real good hockey league.

I guess it isn't in their culture as much.
Skiing is in norwegian culture alot though, but also in sweden. we both have had some crazy olympic champoins in lenght skiing(spell) lol.
I remember grade 1-6 always a damn lenghtskiing session each week lol.
