after posting in the army rutger thread that occurance was awful,, now the gossip n opinion
there are discussions goin on in nfl to "dull" down excessively violent hits.
banin helmet to helmet,, excessively vilolent hits,, fines, suspoensions, curbing the hits etc
no doubt this season of pro/colletgae football has upset some of faint of heart viewers that have been a viewerr of the game.
im guessin there must be more ppl watchin football now bc newer viewers would explain y the story of football would bother anyone,,, except if they never saw football... girls football viewers at all time high here.
the games yesterday basically from the start of the year,,, actually thinking about it, pre season was hvy hit too...
anyway, the chatter now is to dull down the hits on nfl
with that armyrutger game adding to it...
not like somethin like this never happend before thoguh.
concusion & long term effects news to anyone involved or around contact sports. as long as ppl are makin money too,,, there r not many ppl caring about health, their own, others etc. so ................
there is a choice to play or not to play,,,,,
that is the question.

The "violence" is part of the game.
After I read Romo's book I was pretty impressed by his attitude and ferocity.

the f@ggots who run the NFL are really trying their hardest to remove any last vestige of fun, or controversy, or unpredictability, or uniqueness from the league
they dont want individuals , they want drones, with no personality............i nterchangeable teams with no identity or personality............. even though its a sport entirely compesed of men, of course, they have to go out of their way not to act like men
in my opinion, the NFL is one of the most repulsive corporate entities in the entire world

If there is no intent to wrap up during a tackle, but to just launch yourself into someone, that should result in suspensions. It's going to end up with someone dying on the field. Imagine if they wore leather helmets again, how would they tackle? Completely different than what you see today, no one would be leading with their head.

They want Football players to present themselves as modern day gladiators...and that is the way the fans treat them...shit will happen, but to get one's Jockey's in a bunch over unfortunate accidents, or incorrect tackling, isn't the right way. Even right now, all the flags being thrown is rediculous, when added up, creates a substantial amount of time being eaten up from play

Honestly, the abundance of holding calls on almost every big play are more of a pain in the ass than anything else.
I can understand protecting players, that is what the league is built on, but its going to open a can of worms as to what is excessive and what is not.
