im not sure about Franco Columbo ..but Franco Columbu he was an excellent actor in the first Conan movie

That is damn impressive - over 4 times his bodyweight for a deadlift is world class.

So in response to the original question then pound for pound Franco is the strongest bodybuilder ever by far.

I will never forget watching Franco doing bent over rows with no shirt on.  I was sitting on a bench right behind him and his lats just flaried out like huge wings.  He would rep 500 deadlifting like it was nothing.  Back then that was very stroing to me.
