Lesnar is an entertainer first and foremost!

I'll give him this though, never a real fighter, pretty incredible that he got to the top and held the UFC HW Champion Belt without no real fighting experience and only a shot amount of fighter training.

The era of pure fighters have started, you can't just come in a dominate with freak athleticism, just wrestling, or just striking any more.

For a moment there when seeing him go into full breakdance mode, I thought I was watching a past episode of the WWE for a moment. Looked like pure theatrics..

Yes...it looked like he was going for the tag out but then realized this wasn't a fake fighting tag team match and he started to panic and cry

You're absolutely right..

All he needed was the Undertaker waiting over the ropes to get tagged in and start pointing at the Urn conveniently placed by ringside in the hands of this man.

I figured Brock for more of a Safety Dance kinda guy rather than a break dancing kind of guy.

Really, or maybe this exposed a fatal flaw, that one can come in with certain attributes and do well...for a certain window. In boxing, this would not have been heard of, unless the person could absorb hits like no other. In wrestling this would be unheard of, unless that person was extremely agile, strong and quick to pick out moves---but highly unlikely still. In most martial arts sports this would have been unheard of. And sadly, I think that there are far more Brock Lesnars out there---big, strong, quick, have a little back in something, like to fight, etc...and the scenario will be played out again. Why? Well, because the organizations want to make money. As long as you have organizations whose priority, first and foremost is to make money and to present a image of giving you the best fighters, and hyping up only the "money makers", that they deem worthy of the marketing machine, then you are going to see scenarios like these played out again.

brock trained one martial art since he was 5 though, thats the difference :p
And that martial arts happends to play a big role in mma.

gsp coming in dominating wrestlers who has been doing it since they were 6 (kosheck) without any background in it. Thats probably the most impressive thing in a long long LONG time.

Yes, but MMA is just that...Brock has been a wrestler for how long? Imagine someone who is lighter, quicker, more hungrier, same background...there are others out there. Same as GSP, the fatal flaw within MMA is within itself...at any given time, if you have a poor striker vs a great wrestler, or a great striker and so-so wrestler vs a very, very good striker with a great ground game...and then there are the fixes.

Let's face it, to me the MMA organizations seem very seedy and all are jostling to be #1, so they hype and over hype their fighters, whether it be feeding the cans or just with PR. Dana White seems to me to be very unprofessional, and so do others. I think there is far more corruption than say our own NPC or IFBB. I could be wrong, because I am the first to admit, I have ONLY a passing knowledge of the MMA scene. So if I am wrong on any accounts, then please correct me.

It was a rhetorical question. Many of us in the US start young with things---hobbies, sports. Around the same age, I started playing violin, then switch to cello, played cello up until 18...but, never fulfilled my full potential, because school, sports and other activities had my attention. Had I fully concentrated on being a Cellist, I would not be posting here, or would I?

The point I'm trying to make is that, it seems that if you are really good in one aspect of MMA (wrestling, ground game), depending on who you are matched up with (the marketing aspect), you can have some semblance of success...it would be not so in other martial arts sports.

thats because hes good in a Major part of mma..I dont really get your argument. Mma is Everything. And if you're great in a Major part of that ofc you will do decent right away.

if a muay thai champ were to enter boxing he would improve faster then everyone else who hasn't been fighting before.. very obivous lol..

You just proved my argument, and no if a muay Thai fighter enter boxing, he wouldn't do too well, plus his would have ro ground his instincts of kicking, it would be too ingrained in that fighter. Plus he would have to learn very, very quickly I dealing with diff styles of boxing or if he faced a South Paw.
