Dana White confirmed that the winner of the Dec. 16 lightweight title fight between WEC champion Ben Henderson and top contender Anthony Pettis live on VERSUS will take on the winner of the UFC 125 main event title bout between champion Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard. This upcoming fight will serve as a UFC lightweight title unification bout to be held next year.

Lightweight is IMO the most stacked division in all of MMA.  We're going to get to see some sick fights over the coming year...

Henderson is good, but im more excited over the possible matchups for Donald Cerrone.  I'd like to see Cowboy fight a Ufc guy right off the bat (Maybe Cowboy vs. Evan Dunham or Cole Miller). He's at that level where he should be fighting guys like that anyway.

Yawn---

Wake me up when BJ gets his mojo back and Jose Aldo moves up in weight to clean out the divison.

Now they just need to sign Eddie Alvarez and Gil Melendez.  Probably Josh and JZ too.

Aldo vs Edgar would be an interesting match-up.
