fuck.
I had some internet issues of my own and asked a friend if I could use their comp to look at a few things. It was frozen for most of the time adn never got around to doing that and then all this spyware took over. disabling everything.

I'vee downloaded this malwarebytes removal sw. http://www.myantispyware.com/2010/10/18/how-to-remove-thinkpoint-uninstall-instructions/ (http://www.myantispyware.com/2010/10/18/how-to-remove-thinkpoint-uninstall-instructions/)

I put it it on a usb and was not allowed to open the usb.
I'll put it on a disc next. if that doesn't work than I don't know.

can't access anything. task mgr fire fox IE

need to fix it

if it's winblows, boot to command line in safe mode..

I think the key is hitting F8 when it's about to boot, to be sure just restart it and keep hitting F8

good luck.

you can always go the professional way and grab HIREM's boot cd which literally has EVERYTHING you could possibly need on a boot cd, this is what IT pro's use to fix troubled machine's..

hit f8 at stratup, go to "safe mode with networking", then when it starts in safe mode, hit ctrl alt del to bring up task manager, turn off hotfix.exe (that's the thinkpoint virus), then click on "new task", type in explorer.exe.

then start up malwarebytes from your usb or hard drive.

let me know man as i had this same exact problem about 2 days ago and just wiped out my desktop, which i'm posting from now.  both are running fine now.
