240 you've gone from devils advocate to annoying douchebag who makes things up-- If MSNBC is reporting 10's of thousands, the place is hardly "packed". http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/39925382/ns/politics-more_politics/

there were a lot of ppl there.  I dont know what capacity is.  There were ppl as far as the camera could see.  it may have been 10,000.... Stewart laughed and said it was 10 million, which was quite the exaggeration.

I watched the first half of it.  It lost a little steam.  I didn't watch the other 2 rallies so closely, so I dunno if they're all that disjointed.

LOL!

Yesterday I talked to a guy who was at Beck's rally and he estimated 400k to 500k people.

There were a buttload of peeps there. The place was absolutely packed. I'll ask my cousin in a few days. He and his colleagues probably have their hands full at the moment. They've no doubt been on high alert all day.

Good god, I watched about 20 minutes of that.....it was AWFUL....and that was the segment with Colbert and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.....wow....I like Jon's show, but nobody in the crowd seemed to care and weren't making any noise.....just dead fish.

That part wasn't the best. Jon's speech at the end came off as rather preachy.
However, the message was valid. Don't look to the messenger, ...just focus on the message.

I "got it" to a point during the segment I saw....he would have been better off having the principal from South Park on and just say "All Muslims are not bad, mmmm-kay....."  It was just so canned and hacky looking/feeling.  Surprised as Jon is usually very funny.

Stewart is usually a funny guy but this is not his element so no surprise if he flopped on the humor.

I haven't seen pics or anything or heard any numbers but I'd imagine it drew a substantial number of people simply based on celebrity factors...which IMO goes to show how out of touch so many Americans are with reality.

It was on C-Span here.....go figure, huh?  Anyway, you couldn't hear ANY crowd reaction to anything they were doing, and Kareem was better in Airplane.....it was just so stiff and contrived......you are right though, not really Stewarts element, but he wanted to do it, so lets see how the media treats it.....will be interesting.

It had a quarter of the amount as Becks and CBS,that fair minded non partisan place, said Becks had 60,000 people. So that means Shultz had 2,000 people and Stewart had about 6,000.

I saw a overhead comparison to Becks.  Beck definately had a LOT more people, but I will give Stewart credit - he got a lot of people out.

BTW - not too many blacks in thw audience.

I think the coolest part was featuring Yusuf Islam, a man who has called for the murder of Salman Rushdie. Just another example of far-leftist propaganda.  ::)

True. But don't tell that to Blacken or the deluded lefties at Huffington Post, currently engaged in (I believe it referred to as a) circle-jerk session, under the bogus claim that Stewart's rally "destroyed" Beck's rally.

And, all of this is under the woeful wishful thinking that this is somehow going to rally the Dem vote (especially the youth) to keep the Dems from getting their heads cracked tomorrow.

Far left Secular Jews like Jon Leibowitz treat blacks like utter S$%^ all while claiming they share their interests.
