Just curious...is there some recommended amount one should be getting?

It's funny that you mention that. Muscle gain/bodybuidling=nothing to do with health. ;D

As I've gotten older yes...In my early 20s hell no what for...31 one now and while I don't monitor it daily, I ensure I eat foods that keep things moving daily...Alot more veggies and fruits now than I ever did and alot less protein.

1-2 tsp of benefiber with every shake i drink.....and i drink a lot of shakes....
