Not interested. Maybe because I live up north and the pothole problem, snow and salt screw up a car.  I have friends that have muscle cars and they put them away for the winter along with spraying the under side of there regular cars with old motor oil.  Too much of a hassle for me.  I'd rather tie my money up somewhere else, like saving it for my daughters college fund.

I love driving, don't wanna buy one, and could care less about how they work or there make until we start seeing good electrics on the go.

Had same car for 17 years. Gets me from A to B. That's its sole purpose for me. Its a piece of shit, but paid for. Cars are depreciating "assets". I'd hav to b a godamm stupid sumbictch to pour big $$ into something that instantly and chronically loses value. The chosen vehicle that a man drives tells me a lot about the mental state of said individual. Me proud to b simple sumbitch with even simpler car.

The north thing I think has a lot to do with it, Car's can't do fuck all in six inches of snow, and suv's drives like boats, so either way you can't win.

I'm not. It's a thing to get from A to B for me.

Cars do nothing for me. I drive mine as little as possible, too. I do read the car threads, tho. Nice to see Parker et al. get into a lather over the minutiae.

For A to B, I prefer my legs, from A-M a car will be taken into consideration and from A-Z I will subject myself to the evils of flight.

Was interested when I was younger. Constantly worried about it getting stolen, spent thousands "suping" it up while all the while I could have saved the money up for better things (in home). I could care less now. As long as it's dependable and serves the purpose, it's fine.

You seem to be a man at peace with himself. Props to you! :)

Back then it was just about what I had, how much money I could flash, how much gold I had on my fingers (I had a gold ring for every finger), the flashy designer clothes, and damn all the fucking shoes (athletic) I paid for. Over time I just began to realize that none of that shit really mattered because I just viewed myself as a selfish egotistical ass. For a few years there, I almost completely forgot about my family and that's not how I grew up. Now I'm pretty much always doing something with family each weekend and the holidays (which I quit showing up at back then) are much more fun and I really enjoy them even more than I when I was a kid. Now I'm trying to show my daughter that it ain't about the money (even though now I have more than when I was working) or the things you have. It's about how you deal with your family that's most important. If everything is right there, then everything else is cake.

Just a means of transportation. I never understood the training tapes with all the Pros and their car infatuation. I remember a bumper sticker they use to sell at the Old Quads Gym that said "It ain't the car you drive. It's the arm that hangs out the window".

Ditto,

Bought 2 Honda CRV's back in 2004, each one has 70K on them (for wife and I), been paid off since 2007, not a thing ever wrong with them, and hope to drive them til they fall apart and leave them on the road @200K miles (like 10 years from now) cars (mainly the payments) suck.

Also have a 2002 Ford F150 with 70K miles on it, thing is like new. (I like trucks, not cars).

Love Honda's. They last forever. 98 has 210k. I'll be driving that again soon enough, once distributor is replaced
