what do you think of h202 therapy , is this homeopathic method discussed in bodybuilder circles much so that they could potentiall reverse cardio vascular disease since its a potentent oxidant, along side of adding a potentent antioxidant vitamin c to ensure total god like health?

Time waits for no one.  The light at the end of the tunnel is more often than not...a train.

Excellent.  You and the other gentlemen were very, very good.  It is both a shame and a sham what has become of bodybuilding.  I doubt you and I agree on much in bodybuilding, but all the same, thanks for that clip.

Nah, 23 yrs later and Bob is still rocking a full head of hair and sporting a jacked physique. He's fought father time pretty well compared to most.

When you were competeing back then ... did you always believe you'd remain in this industry in some capacity even after you were done with being in the competitions yourself ? and .. did you have a lot of offers that kept you interested and involved ?

Have you ever thought that you'd rather be doing something other than what you do ?

Yes, I alwaysigured I would be involved in some capacity...Offers seem to come in bunches, but yes, there were many when it looked like the BB.com gig was heading into a different direction.

I started quite young also, I don't think that's the difference.

once in a while some huge teen will come around, just seems like it was more common back then

For example, Antoine Vaillant who is well know, started competing the same year as me (or maybe a year before ?)

Anyway, we both competed in 2005 and were about the same size. (175-180 lbs)

then, in 2006, I didn't compete but I looked practicaly the same as the year before, only a bit bigger.

Antoine was now 205 lbs onstage in june 2006, and looked like a men among boys at the provincial in the teen class.

only 2 months later, he competed at the canadian nationals at 218 lbs, and MUCH HARDER.

and since then he got to 280 off-season, and has competed at 230-240 lbs  :o

and I know him, he doesn't take anymore juice than I am taking I am pretty sure of that

MEN, at sometime in their 20s go through a kind of second stage of puberty

where you kind of start thickening out more, get more or the features you will carry for the rest of your life

happens to different people at different time

some guys very early, around 18...........some very late around 28

serious question: if you've come to the realization that you don't got what it takes, then what's the point of continuing?  don't the negatives (of juicing etc.) in your case outweigh the positives?

I have what it takes to compete, but not as a pro that's for sure.

but I am pretty sure I will look fucking good in 10 years, I just need to fill out my frame.

right now I am a pretty hard 215, I will probably be 190 again in may but INSANELY shredded.

but I don't "juice" to compete, I juice to look how I want to look because I absolutely hate my current physique (not so much these days, I got to a point were I have pretty decent size but still.. )

Pretty close...I won the 87 Jr Nats in June with a whopping one cycle under my belt, and the Nationals in the youtube video was in October of that year...perhaps training natural for 9 years prior to that helped build a good solid base?

The work ethic isn't nearly what it was back in the 80 or 90's. Now days young people source out there juice first, then a gym to join.

His "physique" was obtained with massive amounts of illegal steroids and some legal Humalog bought over the counter in California.

The 1987 nationals is best known for the birth of Shawn Ray into the pro ranks. At the time I thought Shawn would win many Olympias. His legs were already huge, and he had all sorts of detail. All he needed with a little more width and thickness. He tried to gain size the next year and placed badly as a pro. Too smooth. For the rest of his career he didn't gain more then 10 lbs of solid muscle, but just showed up ripped. Odd how he barely progressed from such a young age. Was he on a pro stack in his teens?

Very solid show with balanced physiques, and a lot of pros like Vince Comerford, Vince Taylor Troy the Zuke, and Bob Chick. Phil Hill never did much as a pro. Zuke looked pretty pissed at the results, solid abs for a big man.

Bob looked thick as hell even at 21. To be top 5 there and no where near his prime (lacked the detail) was pretty impressive. The back was always there. The guns and legs came in later. That teen nats video was unbelievable. You guys looked pretty natural. The clowns doing it today are far from. Bodybuilding went to shit 1993 +.

It might have been the thing to do, but it wasnt the thing for ME to do...I competed in tested natural shows as well as regular open teen shows.  I have no reason to lie...it was what it was. I had lots of good people around me guiding me in the right direction...no one pushed shit on you back then, especially as a young teen. I was in Samsons Gym at 15 years old. all the more reason to believe your full of shit. Samson's gym had serious bodybuilders in it no? This wasn't some gym in your basement where you weren't exposed to other bodybuilders and what really went on. Yet you trained for 6 years there, and probably had alot of people pass you by in gains who were on the shit, you damn well would of been tempted to try something. It's ok though because dbol only is still natural in my book  ;)

I trained in my basement hiome gym from 13 to 15, Joined Samsons Gym, continued to train and compete....and yes, I certainly knew about steroids, as they were openly discussed and ritten about in the pages of all the muscle magazines I would read.  As for being "tempted"...I had ne reason to be, as I was winning almost all the shows I entered anyway....but I always maintained that I wouldnt take them as a teen, and stuck to it...as I said, I guess it depends on who you surround yourself with....and the guys from the gym took me under their wing, and never pushed me into taking them, or even made much mention of it.

I'll take it as a huge compliment though that you believe my physique as a teen ;looks like I used them....thanks!
