IFBB pro Fakhri Mubarak.....Currently offseason in the high 250's
-
that not shoulder presses though. Have him sit Straight, or even Semi straight, and not leaning back like crazy and that weight would come down ALOT.
(still obviously strong and stronger then me etc etc etc etc etc etc)
-
Probably could have got a few more reps with bigger headphones.
-
great incline bench press there

Brutal ROM
Oh, I forgot... it's because they have so big muscles they can only move their hands 2 inches :D

and this all sends a real bad message to the uneducated who watch him
"lift big and get big no matter how shitty the form is"
little do they know he has alot of "help" and good response to that "help"
-
More than likely listening to some Depak Chopra or Anthony Robbins motivational tapes with his 1970's earphones.

What's it with bodybuilders and wanting to be shut off from the outside world?

Maybe the outside world confuses them.
-
I never got why some bodybuilders try to act so tough throwing the weights around and stuff like that. ???
-
Nice chest presses
-
great incline bench press there
Eh only half reps, but I'm confused as to why the video is labeled "shoulder presses" when it's quite obviously not. ???
-
All the way arien mountan of cheese... and better technique :D
-
Apparently his good friend P.J Braun (who has a BS in Exercise physiology) recommended this
"This positioning allows you to maintain scapular retraction and exagerrated curvature of the spine which helps prevent externally... rotating the shoulder and compromising the integrity of the joint. All though it does slightly involve the upper chest (an area NO ONE is over developed in) EMG study shows that this positioning actually stimulates the over all shoulder musculature better than being at 90 degrees!"
Would you take advice from PJ?
-
All gums, but strong as hell

May this be a lesson to all getbiggers.
Never EVER! take exercise advice from PJ Thong!
He obviously doesnt know the difference between an incline bench press and a millitary press.
-
incline bench presses are actually a shoulder exercice much more than a chest exercise

there is a difference between 90 degress, and a SLIGHT lean, compared to in that video.
-
I'll take the brothers(the first best) and the white boy's(second best) DB presses over Mubarak's any time. Mubarak's are more incline presses, (who is he trying to fool) than shoulder presses. Quarter reps and good back support doesn't make it a "overhead" shoulder press at all.
-
not impressed...what bodypart was he working?
-
Where's the headshake smiley?
you could use the "roll eyes" smiley ;D
-
LEANING BACK WARDS DURING SHOULDER PRESS DOES NOT MAKE IT AN INCLINE PRESS. THINK ABOUT WHEN YOU DO AN INCLINE PRESS. MOST OF THE TIME YOUR LEANING BACK AT LEAST 30 DEGRESS LOWER THAN FAKHRI IS, AND EVEN THEN MOST INCLINE BENCHES ARE TO STEEP, AND THEY INVOLVE QUITE A BIT OF FRONT DELTS EVEN WHEN DONE CORRECTLY. DOING SHOULDER PRESSES LEANING BACK WARDS WILL TAKE WEIGHT OFF OF THE REAR AND SIDE DELTS, AND PUT IT INTO THE FRONT DELT, MAKING IT MORE OF A PORWE MOVEMENT FOR SHOULDERS, IT DOES NOT INCORPORATE THE UPPER CHEST SIGNIFICANTLY MORE THAN THE REGULAR SHOULDER PRESS AT A 90 DEGREE ANGLE.
-
my italian gardener told me 80 to 60 degrees is ideal for shoulder presses. you risk AC and RC damage with straight 90 degree presses.

fixed.

and then he steps onstage and realizes that it didn't mean shit.

He's fat, pumped full of drugs, and using poor form and ROM.
No impressed whatsoever

not impressed...what bodypart was he working?
his ego..
-
Nobody seems to perform full range exercises.
It is all Branch Warren throwing movements, that appears to be the result of pure momentum.
Not taxing the fibers at all, and compromising the joint more than anything.
I'll give him props for getting the bells into position though.
