tewart 'saddened' by Obama
By: CNN Ticker Producer Alexander Mooney
(CNN) – Count Jon Stewart among the legion of frustrated supporters of President Obama.
Appearing on Fox News' The Bill O'Reilly show Wednesday, the liberal comedian said he thought Obama would do a better job when he voted for him in the 2008 presidential election.
"I think people feel a disappointment in that there was a sense that Jesus will walk on water and now you are looking at it like, 'Oh look at that, he's just treading water' … I thought he'd do a better job," said Stewart.
Stewart, who maintains he ultimately does not regret his vote for Obama, said he is "saddened" the president hasn't done more to change the structure of Washington.
"I thought we were in such a place [in 2008], much like the Tea Party feels now, that the country … needed a more drastic reconstruction – I have been saddened to see that someone who ran on the idea that you can't expect to get different results with the same people and the same system has kept in place so much of the same system and same people," he said.

Washington will never change until you put term limits on senators and make it a crime for lobbyists and special interest groups to exist. That will be the first of many steps in the right direction.

I guess Obama lied about taking lobbyists and other special interests out of the equation. Politics as usual...

Stewart has been on O'Reilly's show several times in the past yr and I know O'Reilly has been on his a time or two over the past yr. They obviously disagree on a host of issues but their exchanges are always humorous and fun to watch.

One person's "for the greater good" is another's "special interest".

This needs to happen first, but probably never will. It's where democracy died. You think Joe Schmoe has the resources necessary to help get a person elected? It's all up to big money now. In fact, in order to save money, how about we just get rid of popular elections? Just let the lobbyists vote on it.

sounds like the tea party just had their own 'caught up in the moment' thing like dems had in 2008 with Obama.
It'll take 5 minutes for Ron Paul to take all the govt handouts he can get, and they'll realize nothing changes. More of the same.
