For instance, if you friend was talking about a friend of hers that always wore some pants that looked terrible and then your friend told you, "If I ever wear anything that looks terrible on me, please tell me!"
Would you
1) say OK but never tell her
2) say, "Remember that shirt you had on at the ____ party?" and then make a cringing face

the very few people on this planet that i consider my friends, are considered friends for that exact reason......i have friends that have got on a plane, flown halfway across the planet just to tell me how fucking stupid i am for doing certain things...

For better or worse, I'm pretty brutally honest. Men seem to be much more sensitive about the honesty.

iono I think that while of course certain things dont look good on ppl its more of how you carry yourself that ppl percieve than anything else. Although some ppl carry themselves in a way that isnt conducive to certain clothes I guess.
I generally tell my close friends if they are dressed in a certain way i find bad but my close friends seem to have pretty good self esteem so they tell me Im wrong :P :D until others tell them the same thing I did ;D

It depends on the person. Some people say they'd want to know, ...but don't really.
Others say they want to know, ...and really want to know.
It completely depends on the person because some people really can't handle the truth.
What really bugs me are people who say they want to know, but don't really.
If you don't want to know, ...keep your mouth shut and don't make me waste my time or hurt your feelings by telling you.

It depends on the person.
Agree.
The person who asked it really did want to know...she got #2 and got rid of the shirt.

Would you tell your friend if you knew the spouse was cheating?

OOO that could be a tough one...that would also depend on the friend and the situation. You'd also have to know 100% if the spouse was cheating...and that the friend would want to know....then maybe approach the cheater and give them a chance to come clean first... I don't know..there are many variables you'd have to consider.
How about you..would you tell?

Obviously it depends but generally speaking, no, I would not tell. It is not my business and I don't know what the nature of their relationship is. Maybe they are open? Maybe they are swingers? Maybe they have an arrangement of some sort? Again, it is not my business. It would depend greatly on which of them I was friends with too. I know a few guys who "cheat" but my friendship is with them--not their spouse. :-\

i would as long as i knew it to be true

Never tell anyone your own private, personal business. Rule of thumb.
