Yep, just like Cartel pointed out. Obama talked about repealing the Patriot Act, and ending the war in Iraq.
Obama probably wanted to (and planed on) doing just that as president. Problem is, it wasn't in the plans.
Bush campaigned as a small government, no nation building conservative. Wasn't in the plans either, look what he did.
Ron Paul could even be president, and I imagine we'd be going down the exact same path. If he resisted, he'd be taken care of.

Nothing exotic. Just the people who control massive amounts of currency.

It's the same on a local level.
Look at who runs your city. The Mayor and City Council may be fairly wealthy (or well off), but they're generally following the lead of the cities major corporations, and power players. Although local politicians obviously aren't under the immense pressure that our national "leaders" are.

its nothing like that......what i am saying is that money makes the world turn...everything, and i mean everything is controlled solely by big business, and special interest....so much so that it has replaced our government in every way as far as policy, and decisions are concerned....its bought, and paid for..

I agree but it is our own fault, it is our own complacency that results in this. Power corrupts and we seem to be content to allow it even though we more than many countries have the ability to prevent it.
As long as Jersey Shore and Dancing with the Stars get higher ratings and are viewed as more important than real life, we're in trouble.
