My problem with libertarians trashing the Tea party is that most themselves havenot done a damn thing but sit on ther sidelines and complain. Sure some of the issues are not everything I would lik to see, but overall, its a force in the right direction.
The Tea Party people at least are a step in the right direction while libertarians only complain about not being in their never to be ad utopia that will never come about as a result of their not doing anything.

And, to their credit, the Tea Party folks were smart enough NOT to go 3rd Party (as many liberal and some conservatives pundits thought they would), but to work within the GOP. And, they've succeeded beyond their wildest dreams.
I'm just sorry that (it appears) that Joe Miller is going to get ROBBED of the AK Senate seat, thanks to that lying cheating heifer, Lisa Murkowski.

Libertarian Party lost me over the continued issued of legalizing drugs.......ok, ok, we get it, but it was politcial suicide and they wouldn't budge an inch. I was once a member and even received their magazines, but when you are so focused on an issue that is not going to endure you to enough voters to matter, you have ZERO chance of making any changes.

This video is a little over the top but it still makes some valid points.
Anyway, I find the libertarian claim by many to be kind of funny. They seem to get the idea of an almost "Woodstock" society in their head and based on that claim "Libertarian."
I think it's important to understand, although you may not agree with every tenet the Tea Party promotes, it's still the first legitimate functioning body of people who are pushing for a more limited government role in America. That's important in an era of massive government growth that has been growing exponentially for yrs.
