Title: best to just hold breath while doing repetitions then releasing at end of set
Post by: Marty Champions on November 18, 2010, 04:27:02 PM
i can definitly find a lie in how we think we should be training. I find that taking in a huge amount of air and holding it then repping out pushups is key for strength but releasing it after end of set. and not to over exert the breathing and heart rate. it might seem more difficult way of breathing than conventional during a workout set but after you get the hang of it , i find it to be superior. Now running would be executed the same way holding big  breaths for lengths of time...after all we do know that holding deep breath does release growth hormone

it is known that the technique of holding ones breath after they have max capacity of air in lungs then tensing every muscle can slow the heart rate and pulse considerably and activate the parasympathetic system wich signals a "rest and digest" action among certain organ/body systems/nerves.

you see the autonomic nervous system is more of an involuntary system, and it is my theory that  that when we work out and breath normally that INVOLUNTARILY our breathing mechanism can take over causing more fatigue. but we can keep fatigue down with a different strategically breathing tactic that empowers systems that we may not have explored thus ultimatley benefitting from this.

it does infact say this "vagel manuever" does activate the parasympathetic system slowing down heart rates in instances of heart attacks or tachycardia ..as to why this is i do not know yet but this is the connection that may link us to higher realms of monk/yogi breathing practices that activate a type of chi after all science could explain chi if we collect the dots before we can actually Connect the dots

this was forgotten as soon as it was said

hey falcon ... here's an idea ... this quote from you to Rami

awesome article bro you are the best poster on getbig, without you and my good friend mr. nobody to talk about hoes with, id have no reason coming here other than the urge to share wisdom with my family here

did you know Rami was a member on Matt C's board .. and so is Mr Nobody .. I'm sure they'd still be your friend and keep you company there too ..  you can post all these "researches" you do ... over there ... then on your one thread here that was talked about ... you can post the links to them  .. like Alex does ... :D

I remember Matt promised you a special spot on his main page for all your "articles" ..  :)  ..

make him keep his word ... if you can  :-\

he really really likes you

Why do you spend your time making up all this bullshit?

And why exactly did you post a cock picture on here?

You are a fucking wierdo. Maybe a true sociopath.

Excellent Post! id say about 20+ seconds or so it takes me to do 20 pushups

but the reality of that matter, (thank you for asking btw) is that holding in air forces the organs to adjust and handle the situation (pushups) in a more calmly /stealth like fashion

that's weird, I did that this just morning. I got bored with conventional style training lately.

together with light, high rep excercises I'm invoking deep breathing this way

done in morning a reprogramming of the breathing mechanism occur and get's "locked in" for the rest of the day, to be slower and deeper and fat cell destroying. I did this years ago and was practically immune to weight gain. very weird that it works,

i chose this method because it does infact lower pulse and heart rate if you hold in a big breath then flex your abs and tense your muscles. so i thought why not just hold in big breath and do pushups! seems to give me a new edge

if i was asian monk i would describe this as controlling chi

No, I didn't know this.
Please explain the mechanism through which holding deep breath releases hGH.

yes tensing the abs at the same time is what I'm doing to 'trap' the expansion in ribcage region, I think this multiplies the effects on the central nervous system ' the breathing and pulse is noticeably lower the rest of the day.

I think it's probably more effective than HGH, maybe it even trigger releases of high amount of natural HGH, wouldn't surprise me

thats diet related brother,

headaches are stagnate blood flow to certain reigons. my girlfriend gets headaches but she eats the worst things

consume more beans and peanutbutter and plenty of water, you might be lacking in those things
