This is my kind of thread w8m8   ;)

My inlaws are part italian so they often cook up some pizza or raviolis for appetizers.

But what I really love is mom's stuffing (no incest)

It's a little known fact that what Judith actually used to distract Holofernes was a bunt (cake).

My first Thanksgiving in Hawaii was at my friends house.  He was a cop and a local Samoan.  My god it started at 9am.  The women all cookled and the guys prepped everything.  Had every form of meat you can think of.  Several kids of fish and shell fish, poultry, beef, pork, ham, sausage, and everything else.  Must have had 30+ people there and ate till midnight.  It was unreal.  My first Christmas dinner was at my old friend Wally Amos's house in Lanikai.  The coolest part was having fresh hot Famous Amos cookies cooked by his wife in their kitchen at their house.  That was ultra cool

Just like that except it's a bunch of drunk men being told what to do by loud women.......they all have great hair.....except poor Clavin..... and eat until they passout.  and sometime during the day, you can bet someone will mention the "old country" yet they have never been there..... ;D

I wish I lived closer ... that sounds like a great time

I go to the church and pick up meals to give to the housebound elderly folks .. then we get to share in the leftovers when we get done

There's only like 6 of us doing it .. I'd much rather be with a big family .. but I do like seeing the old people light up  :)

I have a party for about 150 people. Gonna make smoked turkey, oven roast turkey, fried turkey, and turkey breast sous vide. Maybe 50+ different desserts as well. Started baking last night. $hit ton of food!

I've never had smoked or fried turkey ... it sounds really good .. and what is turkey breast sous vide ?

Ya, I probably shouldn't even confess to having that sort of thing in the family, haha.

Still eating off boring white plates manly hewn granite blocks but I'll get ahold of some nice handmade, rough glazed stuff one day.
