Every time a pro comes on getbig to interact with the board, they get a load of shit from the peanut gallery.
It is obvious to me those kind of posters may work out, but are not fans of real bodybuilding.
Congratulations! ::) You ruined the potential regular interaction of BB fans with actual pros.
The ironic thing is, besides some shits and giggles , did "you" get anything for your troubles? No!
It was similar to the kids who throw rocks at windows.

Being a bodybuilder does not automatically garner my respect. Do I respect bodybuilders? Yes, I do. But it is only cause I respect them first and foremost as human beings. Arnold and Lee Haney come to mind... Bob to a certain degree being he has been posting with us since forever.
With that being said, the BBs who have to endure/relish/partake (however you wanna see it) the 'lifestyle' that many of us can't imagine and also do not see fit, find it hard to attach the word 'respect' to the 'builder of bodies'. We as non-BBs (pros or am ::)) can appreciate the effort and results but also resent or belittle the 'lifestlye-sport' of bodybuilding, which subsequently is associated with man-whoring, illicit trade,purchase, usage of steroids and thongs.

Ummm...Could you kindly translate this into English. Babelfish was unable to do so. ;D As far as Lee Priest being short, it is due primarily to using steroids at an early age. When that much hormone is introduced into a male body that has not really begun puberty, the result is that said body thinks puberty is in full swing and bone growth is sealed off. Hence, Lee Priest is dinky. Short. A homunculus of sorts. A great many bodydopers are shorter than what they should have been and all because they took steroids at a very early age.
Now then, other than poor spelling, grammar, etc., and an outright ridiculous advocacy for dope, I like some of gh15 posts. ;)
And as someone here already stated, respect is earned. Doping is not worthy of respect.

I saw the living proof from my own eye a friend of mine who was on aas for years, he was really big, but recently added gh and trust me, he fucking blew up, he started gh 2 or 3 months ago and now he is ridiculously huge. 240lbs at 5f8 but CUT,veins everywhere, he did a show last week. you can be more than satisfied with your physique from aas alone, but if you wanna be really HUGE, add gh

is this what is causing the dimensionalization of the physiques?
from my research it seems like gh by itself doesn't cause growth of existing muscle fibers ...just tendon growth and water retention...and burns fat.

100% truth, and EQ at 900mg per week grow you seriously lean, i used to just use 500-600mg per week but after reading gh15 posts i upped it to 900mg and it gives you a totally different look, growth from within the muscle, with gh i never looked bloofy no matter how much test i took ;)

I'm personally not a huge fan of body building. I recognize most of the names, was more a fan back when Zane and Arnold were competing. Like someone said, I'm more a weight lifter than a body builder, but I do find it odd that when people who have made it in the bodybuilding business post on here, it's like a badge of honor to try and destroy them. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the common and expected result is they leave.. I don't care if they post here or not, but for a bodybuilding website forum, there seems to be a lot of hate for people who have succeeded at it.

I'll be the first person to put down a pro or industry person that posts here. I've found that when pros/industry people post here, most don't really care about talking and having a normal conversation, interacting or having a few laughs. They start their Q@A threads, only answer the easy questions, say thank you to all the ass kissing respones and justify it by repeating "this is what it's all about man, interacting with the fans." That's not interacting, that's a staged fake conversation.
The others start threads with them in their underwear flexing and they post these so everybody can tell them how great they look and if anybody says anything negative about their body,they respond "well, wheres your body at?"
If a pro wants to post here without obviously trying to build up his own ego, the I'll be happy to welcome them. But to get on here solely to respond to the ass kissers or to go on rants about any "haters", I find it childish. It's like we all have to build a little fantasy land for them where only good things are said.

One more point on my thread topic.
By being myself here on getbig, I have been able to meet and interact with some really cool people within the BB industry.
One of the highlights of any show is spending a few minutes talking shop with Bob Chick.
I respect Bob but don't always agree with him on various issues (like the new male and female physique div).
Bob is a pro and known BB personality, while I am just a fan.
But, we both share a real passion for bodybuilding and want the best for the sport.
I honestly think that some getbigggers would enjoy that kind of experience and interaction.

1. I like some of the funny threads, like most here, so I will come back for those.
2. You are 100% correct! It is a waste of time and board space to post any "getbig conduct" threads UNLESS they are funny.
The reality is I have NOT competed as a bodybuilder in a long time. With all the bikini, figure and new male board shorts div crap, it is doubtful I will go to many NPC/IFBB shows in the future.
I am more into cardio these days and most likely train more like the avg getbig poster then serious BB.
Time to move on past serious BB and just have fun here on get big.
