Title: Anyone else think this is a good testamonial?
Post by: Coach is Back! on November 24, 2010, 09:17:03 AM
I don't.....and the last day he had to cut an additional 8lbs to make weight, I also know he was still about 18lbs out 48hrs before weigh ins. Quinton barely had enough energy to speak :-\

Dropping 46lbs in 8 weeks the last 18 of it coming with in the last 48hrs before the weigh in and Dolce is using this testimonial to promote his "diet". IMO this CLEARLY the wrong approach to bringing a fighter down to make weight, problem is most fighters have an old school wrestling mentality and think this is great! To bring an athlete down in weight especially to make weight for a fight they need to reverse the order of macros with a moderate calorie intake to sustain the 2 and 3 per day training sessions.....not the reverse. I know for a fact that Dolce uses a high to medium protein intake, almost no carbs and high in fat diet........the old bodybuilding diets. I've been temped to call him out on it but since he is somewhat of a friend and super nice guy I hate to.

IMO that was a horrible testimonial to anyone who knows better!

anyone with half a brain knows the closer you stay to your fighting weight the better...ex...215-220lbs for a 205lbs fighter is optimal vs 250-260lbs...which is what rampage (who is at least mildly retarded)likes to do...Rampage has a hard punch(if he can land it)and thats it....one of the least rounded fighters in the game & compound that with him always getting so far out of shape in between fights and what you have is a sub par fighter whos fights as of late are lackluster & anything but exciting as he always claims they will be...

Dude, you have this deep hate for Rampage, did screw your wife or something? Not very many fighters stay within their fight 10-15 or even 20lbs of their fight weight. As for Rampage, don't let the act fool you, he's a lot smarter than you think especially when it comes to business. Even though he's mostly stand up, you underestimate his ground game and his muay thai.....he did beat Machida and if he hadn't of gassed, he would have beat Rashad.

I'm not doing baseless attacks like you just did...hell Im not attacking at all just calling it like it is...His fights are lackluster as of late...he's a shell of his former pride days...He's a one dimensional fighter...and his training and diet leaves a lot to be desired...this is all true...so if those reality's hurt your man crush for him that's a you problem...oh and lol at his muay thai as he throws zero kicks...and his ground game oh brother...dude has not evolved at all thats why he's not as successful the sport is passing him by...

Big L Dawg, did you or did you not say that Rampage "is at the very least mildly retarted"? That was baseless! Flexington, Mike Dolce is the ome who does Rampages diet as well as bunch of other fighters.
