He is Valentin Dikul, Russian strongman:

"Valentin Dikul was a Russian circus performer who, at 14 years old, sustained a terrible back injury when the tightrope he was practicing on snapped. As a result, doctors said he would never regain the use of his legs… but he had other ideas… two weeks later Dikul left the hospital and began to train…

Not only did he walk again, he found that he had an incredible potential for strength and power. In fact, he went on to squat over 1000 pounds and again perform in the circus, this time as a strongman. Above, he performs a one-arm snatch with a 90-kg kettlebell.

Today, Dikul runs a clinics all over Europe teaching the system he developed for spinal cord rehabilitation."

Actually I can do the same lift the weight easy and then struggle a bit on camera but the weight would be real.

 Burpees are real!

Surely a man who can pinch grip a 110lb plate and yank it up easily should not be struggling to lift it to chest height to slide it on a bar. No doubt he is a very strong man but I am very dubious about this kind of thing.

TBH I have heard of him etc and believed it when I was younger. Now I am a bit dubious. Especially as that set of 3 squats were perfect with over 900lbs in just knee wraps. He could have done more.

Aint that the truth.  We used to say "If anyone can do it, I can".  Now we say "If I can't do it, no one can!"  We suck now.

.

The plates are some sort of fabric composite, you can see them in the above video, toward the end the video goes color so you can see they match. The follow in the video is strong, but not that strong. He is known for his circus work and later his clinics that work with the disabled.
