Title: Bully Beatdown = Mayhem gets in the ring.
Post by: spinnis on November 30, 2010, 10:00:42 AM

So the victims might now know the bully sometime etc. BUT the fights are however real (no headkicks though)

And the funniest part of this shit is that he calls out mayhem before knowing they were actually gonna fight hahaha.

Talk about getting your fucking ASS handed to you lol.

Second slam was NUTS. Hes lucky his shoulder didnt pop out

Most of Mayhem's fight vids, he looks pretty impressive. Guy has a screw loose.

I did see that episode on MTV. Mayhem absolutley worked his opponent. It's a case of instant Karma.

He was bullied as a kid, and moved around a billion times as a kid and his father and him used to fight all the time.
So no, no bully, just special lol.

I think Jason is a great fighter at 185lbs but I don't know about top three. I want to see how he does in his rematch with Jacare. He's 30 years old now so if his time is ever to come it better come soon.

None the less, I think he'll still be an active fighter because he's a crowd pleaser and people will pay to see him whether he's a champ or not. He use to be utterly despised in Hawaii but if you show you have heart and are tough you eventually will win the crowd over.

The 'fight' looked pretty real to me.  I give the kid credit for staying in there as long as he did, cuz it's always better to get knocked out than to quit.

Title: Re: Bully Beatdown = Mayhem gets in the ring.
Post by: stuntmovie on November 30, 2010, 02:24:40 PM
I think this is a great show.

We had four or five bullies when I went to grammar school and I was a bit bigger than the rest of my school compatriots (I climbed trees constantly when I was a little kid) and I'd challenge the bullies in the school-yard during recess or during the lunch hour.

I have to admit that these were just kid-fights but I never lost one and the bullying eventually stopped.

But my dad did give me hell a couple of times saying that I bullied bullies and that was just as bad as the bullies.

And the funny thing is .... those bullies became my lifetime best friends and those who were bullied, I've never seen again or ever heard from.

Gotta be a lesson there someplace.

I love that video Swede posted. And you guys have got to realized that the 'bully' volunteered and seemed to be a better person after that 'fight'. At least he apologized.

he said he went pretty easy, he wanted to throw one Big shot but didnt expect the bully to go down so easy, so he didnt really have time to lol.

and the first giljotine after 9 sec (could have done it faster obviously) = Dont let go = death. So he pretty much "killed" him within 10 sec.

I'm not sure how serious you want here and really don't want to get into a real big debate over this but just want to make a point.

A bully is someone who picks on people that he knows is weaker than he is. And more importantly, picks on someone who did nothing to merit his bullying. It's done solely out of malice (and whatever psychological issues that really don't concern me as I focus more on what a person actually does than why he does it). Furthermore, the bully's ability to actually be able to back up his threats, his ability to actually fight in this case, is not relevant. It's the bullying behavior that concerns me.

In this case it's very easy because the bully actually called out Miller. But say he didn't challenge Miller. Say Miller caught him bullying someone and Miller challenged the bully. Even pushed him to the ground. Does that make Miller now the bully? Do you morally equate the two situations?

There's a recent case in Hawaii where a man kidnapped a child (for reasons unknown as he asked for no ransom and did nothing to the child). He was caught and is now in jail. Essentially, the government kidnapped him and now is holding him like he held the child. Is the situation morally equivalent? When the government executes a murderer do you morally equate that with the murderer taking an innocent life?

You can have two essentially exact same situations and/or behavior but it is the CONTEXT that determines it's morality. Cutting someone's gut open can either be an act of violence or a life saving surgical procedure. Intercourse can be an act of love or rape. It is the context that will determine this.

There is a world of difference between someone bullying someone just because he can and the bully getting bullied. No matter how superior the hero is to the bully.

The best thing that can happen to a bully, as show in this clip, is to have a bully get his ass kicked. To crush his ego and humble him. To show how it feels to be on the other end. Knowing how someone else feels is the beginning of empathy and compassion. It does make you a better person.

Now fight me.  ;)

That show was outed as being completely fake last year or earlier this year. One of the "bullies" said the whole thing was set up and didnt know the victims. And the "bully" was actually a professional stuntman, but on the show played some unemployed rich kid who lives in his parents basement.

Yes, a professional MMA fighter in his late twenties against a high school kid. Very fair match-up. Jason could have really hurt that kid if he wanted to.

What a bunch of morons.  The idea of the show is to teach the bully that there is always someone bigger, stronger and badder than they are.  The bully picks on the weak (something I guarantee you know alot about, getting picked on), well the show shows the bully that he is NOT the baddest guy around so they get someone who is badder than they are to beat the shit out of them.  Very siomple premise.  Great idea.  One thing we used to love to do was teach the bullies a lesson.

Me too, I always helped out kids in high school that were getting picked on, I played a lot of sports so was pretty athletic and had been doing karate since was 12 :)

I know that you're a walrus and thus are used to picking on smaller fish, but a 28 year-old man who happens to be a professional fighter beating up 16 year-old boys is not ok. A grown man "teaching a lesson" to underage boys by beating them up is something that only an obese piece of shit loser of society such as yourself would approve. I wouldn't mind if the guy teaching the bully the lesson were another 16 year-old who just happens to be a better fighter, but grown man beating up kids is cowardice plain and simple.

Ok hold on, it's pretty clear the guy is not 16, I'd say early-mid 20's.. look at all the tats on him ffs, if he's mature enough to get half his body covered in ink, he's mature enough to fight.

What?????? He looks 18 at the most, and that is really, really pushing it. I would say 16 or 17. Look at his skin tone. People in their early to mid twenties have lines in the face which he doesen't. Also, the boys he is bullying also look around 16. I don't think a young man in his early to mid twenties would waste his time bullying high school freshman and sophomores. C'mon....

A couple things.  Miller asked him repeatedly if he was sure he wanted to fight.  he not only said he would kick the ass of whoever Miller put in but after that wanted him.  Second, MTV in no way in the world would have a minor in that situation.  Are you kidding me.  Not sure where you are from but if that kid was under 18 his parents would have had to sign all contracts and releases.  And your last statement is exactly what bullies do.  Do you think they pick on people their own age and size.  Bullies are pussies.  That is the whole deal with them.  They pick on the weak.  Someone they can dominant easy.  That is why kicking the shit out of guys like that is very enjoyable.  Some of my favorite times is beating the shit out of someone who is picking on a weak guy.

Yeah, my point exactly. A professional MMA fighter who happens to be a man beating up a high school kid. That is a really fair match-up right there.

Does a bully pick up someone that he feels is a fair match up? Is the same age? Is the same size? Has the same fighting ability? Fairness is not relevant in this situation.

When I was about twelve years old a friend and neighbor of mine, same age, had a little brother around 5 years old. This 5 year old was constantly getting picked on by another 5 year old. Both were about the same size. When I would see this I would tell the bully to leave my friend's brother alone. He would but I knew when I wasn't around he would still pick on him. One day I was talking with my friend while his little brother wandered a bit, not far, still within eye shot when the bully appeared. I saw the two tots interacting but didn't really know what was going down because they were too far to hear. I pointed out to my friend that that kid was always picking on his little brother. He turned to look at them and said, "Really, how so?" Then we both saw the bully knock his brother to the ground. My friend just marched right over there. He simultaneously grabbed the little boy's right wrist with his left hand and cup his right hand under the left side of the boy's jaw and spun to his left almost in a full circle like a discus thrower and sent the boy sailing across the pavement. I was a bit taken aback at the sheer violence of the act. But there was also a sort of beauty in a cosmic justice sort of way.

Needless to say the boy never went near my friend's little brother.

SUCKMYMUSCLE

I did read your post and disagree. Did you miss my point where I address the issue of fairness and moral context?

In the realm of justice it's not the disparity of power that matters but who is right and who is wrong. When Iraq invaded Kuwait should we have not stepped in because we are vastly more powerful then they are and it wouldn't be a fair fight? Should you stand up to someone, or come to someone's aid, only if you perceive it to be a fair fight?

Again I reiterate: when it comes to the battles of right and wrong, good and evil if you will, the idea of fairness is irrelevant.  In fact, you should steer the odds as much in your favor as possible -- ideally to the point where you can completely destroy and slaughter your adversary if you so choose. We are not talking about a sporting event where the goal is to win but only within the confines of predetermined rules.

I detest bullies. Utterly detest them. Always have. They are at heart cowards. And I want them humbled and humiliated. And I don't care if it's done by a peer, an older brother, an irate father, a world class MMA fighter or fuking Robocop.

You make a lot of claims about yourself, my friend. Your intelligence, your IQ, your success and accomplishments; and your almost superman-like physical abilities, none of which you back up.   Well, "my friend", based on what I write, you can infer that I am a very intelligent person, so I fail to see your argument here. I don't think there is anyone on Getbig who has shown a more profound amount of knowledge on as many different topics as I have. This is a cold, hard fact. Since English is not your first language then I withdraw my comment on your spelling and grammar.

You presume to speak and think for me. I have read your posts over the years and using that as a barometer I have not inferred that you are an exceptionally intelligent person. I could be wrong but base on what you write I have not found that to be the case. Also, you blithely proclaim your profoundity as a "cold, hard fact" but "I don't think anyone on Getbig" would agree with you. You are routinely beaten down, owned, exposed and disgrace.

And, once again, you simply avoided and ignored the fact that you made a claim, answering some question, a claim that you made, and now blame it on others on the belief that you will not be believed or given "credit." Nor have you address my argument on fairness and moral context.

Again, is it any wonder that your self-portrayal as a genius super-soldier is not given any credibility.

We were at dinner once.  My brother who at the time was home from college and was 6'6" 330 lbs., my dad who was 6'3" 230 and me at 6'0" about 230 then.  My dad was holding the door for my mom to go into the restaurant.  Me and my brother were following and were just about 10 feet frm the door.  This guy comes out of the place and bumped into my mom as she was walking through the door.  She was pushed up against the door and didn't fall down.  But, the guy did not say he was sorry but said "learn how to walk"  Holy shit!!!!  Within milliseconds all three of us were going at this guy.  His kneees buckled and he fell and had his hands covering his head.  We had to hold back my dad (who loved to cuss) and the guy was yelling I'm sorry I' sorry.  Anyway, the manager was right there and calmed everyone down.  But, it was the fact he disrespected my mom that through us all in a tizzy automatically.  The three of us togehter were pretty menacing looking I would think.  And I was the smallest.  My mom was 5'5"

Wow! that's awesome, I had a very similar situation when I went to visit my parents who had a condo in Mexico, it was New Year's and we were at a Gala resort for the party, this drunk loser kept bothering my mother all night, at first I paid no attention to it because at a party most guys hit on women, etc. but at one point in the night he kept asking my mom to dance and she kept refusing him, he grabbed my mothers wrist in his hand and started pulling her towards the dance floor, at this point me and my dad who is 6"2, 230 and ex special forces grabbed him by the throat at the same time and 'removed' him from the situation, that piece of shit was scared to look in our direction for the rest of the night and probably pissed himself.
