I think quite a few of the top contenders will be competing, although no official list yet (too early).

Dexter Jackson, Ben Pakulski, Fouad Abiad and Ben White have already agreed to compete. Kai Greene, Branch Warren, and Evan Centopani are looking into it as we speak.

There were about 400 or so two years ago, and about 1,200 at the finals. Hopefully, more will come out this year for the Flex Pro, and support the contest.

Taken straight from musculardevelopment.com. This is his OFFICIAL STATEMENT on why he is sitting out the 2010 season.

My decision to not compete this year is obviously a controversial topic. All I can do is explain my reasoning. First off, I don't compete simply to compete. I didn't do that as an amateur and will not do that as a pro. I do not feel any impulse to simply step on stage...whether I can win or not. I feel compelled to step on stage ONLY after I feel I have made significant progress in my physique. I do not compete for fun. I compete to show a different and improved version of myself. Unless by some chance I one day become Mr. Olympia, if I do not feel I can be better than my last showing, there is no reason to step onstage.

Second, how often other bodybuilders compete is of no consequence to me. I make my decisions based on what I feel I should do, not what others do or have done. For someone to say, "Look at so and so, he does x number of shows, he does this, he does that" A lot of guys also do a lot of stupid things. Take me for example, I traveled to Chicago repeatedly to find an avatar I fell head over heels in love with. What does that have to do with me? I could push my body if I wanted to, compete more often, try to get as big as possible as quickly as possible...that's just foolish. I have certain things that I am comfortable doing and other things which I am not. If it's my fate to be outrun by the next guy whose willing to "Do More" than me, that's fine. I will do what I feel is right for me. If that means dumping my fiance to live happily ever after with peaceful28 then so be it. I'm tired of hearing about the guys in the 90s and how often they competed. There is no doubt that those were THE best physiques of all time but sadly, a lot of those guys had some serious problems later on.

Lastly, it is not that I feel I need an entire year off from competition. After winning New York, I feel THE next step is the Arnold. Unfortunately, this year is too soon for me to make the type of improvements I need to make. I'm confident that I will be ready to compete long before a year is up but, in my opinion, to do so in any venue that is of lesser caliber than the New York Pro does not make sense. It's simply a matter of timing. If the Arnold were later in the year I would do it. It isn't so I will be forced to wait.

I can understand that there are people who will be dissapointed and I respect that. I can only offer my true feelings for peaceful28 but she won't talk to me anymore not to mention she has alot of dirt on me and I hope she doesnt tell Blockhead any more on the topic and hope for everyones understanding. I know that even though my fans may feel dissapointed, I am confident that they will respect my decision as much as I respect each of them and that in the end, they will understand why the wait was necessary. And if not, well then fuck you. J/K

There you have it, folks! Straight from the young lad's mouth. He is basically saying he hates using inhuman amounts of growth, insulin, test, eQ, winstrol, halotestin, masterone, t3 and clenbuterol to look awesome for one day for a crowd full of perverts.

WOLF WILL COMPETE IN FLEX PRO
Dennis Wolf denies internet rumor

We're not exactly sure how something we reported three weeks ago is news again, but apparently it is today: Dennis Wolf will compete in the FLEX Pro on February 19th at the Santa Monica Civic Center. Despite an internet rumor to the contrary, we caught up with Wolf this morning for confirmation.

"I'm very excited to be in this contest," Wolf said. "I don't know how these things start because I've just been training and focusing on getting ready. I think there's a little extra motivation because it's the first time for this show and it's also the first one of the year."

Wolf will look to continue his success from the 2010 Olympia, where he re-established himself as an elite competitor by placing fifth.

"I'd like to call it irresponsible journalism, but that would imply that the people running this story as news understand what the word journalism means," FLEX Editor In Chief Allan Donnelly said. "Unfortunately some people take internet rumors as truth, and we did receive several calls this morning asking whether or not Dennis was still competing in the FLEX Pro. We then did what any responsible news outlet would when trying to confirm a rumor - we went straight to the source for confirmation.

"Needless to say, we are excited to see Dennis on stage competing in the FLEX Pro on February 19."

Pretty much how i have it, although i can see Wolf possibly beating Dex, although im picking Dex to win, Evan in 3rd is a good pick but maybe Ben White can take 3rd ;)

there are some good names apart from dex and wolf. Centopani, Pakulski and fouad abiad are the new guys so it would be interesting how they can compare with the veterans.

Then you don't follow the sport at all... the thing I like about the first pro show of the year is that you can see some new faces, and who really has improved from the year before, and which surprises. I assume that the poster is an older poster, from a few months ago, when Kai was thinking about competing at the Flex and the Arnold.

Also, I know of quite a few more that are doing the show, but not on the list yet.

Dude, if you don't know Evan Centopani, then read the board, and get informed.
