So will they win or lose?

The agenda for today’s California State Athletic Commission meeting includes hearings for middleweight Chael Sonnen and heavyweight Josh Barnett.
Sonnen is appealing the penalty that was handed down after testing at UFC 117 in August revealed testosterone levels beyond the norm. Barnett hopes to be re-licensed in California, which denied him a license last year after he tested positive for a steroid.

It will be interesting to hear what angle Sonnen's legal team will use to plead its case.
On his pre-fight drug screening forms he filled out on the eve of his UFC 117 fight with Anderson Silva before providing CSAC officials with his questionable urine sample, Sonnen disclosed that he received one shot of testosterone two days prior to the bout.
According to CSAC policy, if Sonnen was receiving any type of testosterone replacement therapy, he would have had to state as much on his pre-fight medical forms, so that defense may not do much more than have his suspension reduced if he pleads ignorance.
I guess we'll have to wait and see what kind of a yarn Chael spins this time. I'm just hoping it has nothing to do with him being a hermaphrodite or this could get very uncomfortable.
As an extra bonus, Josh Barnett, who no-showed at his appeal last year to wrestle Bob Sapp in Japan, will also address the commission to apply for the reinstatement of his license. Has it really been a year since he killed Affliction? Time flies.
