He was beat after 75 games. Ken Jennings. The chick that beat him lost in last place the very next game.

Smart, yeah, but it was quite a bit of luck and timing, too. He had a thing where he'd hit the clicker right on Alex's last syllable or whatever, and he would do it every single time, whether or not he knew the answer. That's why he would pause for so long on a lot of the questions, trying to mull it over. On his 75th game, the strategy finally cost him. lol
When he came back for the Championship Series, he was solidly beaten by a dude that worked in a record shop.

These two guys (Jennings and Rudder) will be playing in a February tournament on Jeopardy, and the third player will be an IBM computer.
