I'm currently lookig for a good MRP drink to have during the day (a few hours prior to working out).
I'm looking for something that has around 300 cals and contains about 40 grams of protein per serving. Getting bored with the one I'm using at the moment and I've been using it for a few years and just want to try something new as an alternative.
What do you guys recommend?

steak & potatoes.
Steak and Potatoes would be a good meal. But it sounds like he wants a MRP for a preworkout meal, maybe something that isn't going to be so filling and easier to digest.

Reflex, MHP, CNP.

I always thought this was good. Not sure if they still make it.

I really don't know if there are any MRP's that stand out. I generally use a Good Protein Powder (my favorite is intrapro by Gaspari), mix in a banana and (milk and PB optional) this will give you 300+ calories.....

CNP was very good..

Thanks for the advice guys - think I'm going to give the CNP a go as I've heard good things about it. :)

Met-RX MRPs are great as well as Champion Ultramet....

I dont know if its just psycholigical, but I swear I feel the results when I take Myoplex DELUXE ( deluxe as opposed to regular.) Its probably the only good product that EAS makes anymore. Unfortunately I cant find it anymore at the stores, so I have been forced to switch to Lean Body, which isnt bad but not as good in my opinion. I have thought about giving Optimum Nutrition a try, I have heard good things about it. I dont think there are any good MRPs that stand out, because from what I have read, its really difficult for supplement comapanies to make a profit off of these MRP lines, so it is tempting to cut corners. There are a lot of costs involved in getting all the different ingredients mixed in, and there probably isnt as big a market for them as there should be.

I think its psychological, but in all seriousness a lot of the MRPs are pretty close in ingredients. It just depends on the quality of the ingredients and how close to label they are
