We have countless threads bashing the government and the costs of this and now nothing?

Nothing will happen. 

BP owns Obama lock stoc and barrell anda token settlement will be made in the dark of night for a nominal amount fr the idiots to jump up and down over ike lemmings and sheep. 

Remember - it was Obama who gave BP the waiver for this very rig that had the issue.
