I know thats one of the things Sweden is almost the best in the world at , internet speed, we might not even have HD channels but out internet is fast at least.
Remember when I was in norway and the internet was Sooo slow, and that was 120kb/s so I realised what a spoled fuck I was when it comes to that.
So how fast do you guys DL your movies? I came to think if it right now when I Finally found a new movie I wanted to see.

Even I remember the times when if you wanted to DL a movie you had to start it the night before and let it go over the night so you had it downloaded the next day ;D
and that was a 700mb movie lol. now its 4000mb and my god if it takes more then 10 min lol.

thru San Fran: 9mbps
thru L.A: 11mbps
thru Chicago: 12.5mbps
3mbps is a pretty big discrepancy

Hey man me too. I don't download stuff much and when I do I can wait. Most videos I watch buffer about the same speed I can watch them, and it doesn't have to do that much faster than that.

This computer 'speed' stuff is Greek to me so I ran an on-line test offered by Speedtest.net and here are the results.
I am presently in Los Angeles and have a MacBook Pro and notice that the internet is a hell of lot slower here in Los Angeles than it is in Las Vegas where the response is immediate.
Speedtest.net ran in Los Angeles area:
Download 7.34 Mb/s
Upload 0.83 Mb/s
Png 35
ISP
SBC Internet Services
Los Angeles, CA
Distance – 50 mi
DOWNLOAD SPEED
MP3 File (5MB) 65 sec
Video Clip (35 MB) 39 sec
Movie (800MB) 15 min
Can anyone interpret the above for me? (Fast / medium / slow?)

7mb/s connection so thats pretty decent! (above average) :) for america..
-
What's a "Mb/s?
Nah! Forget I asked. I would never understand computer talk anyway.
But when it comes to QUANTUM MECHANICS I are pretty darn smart!
-
Basically take the "speed in Mbit/sec" and divide it by 8 and you have your maximum download speed in Megabyte per second. So Swede's 10Megabyte/sec download speed would make him have a 80Mbit connection. (It doesnt always max out like this tho)
-
Yeah! Finally between 30 and 40 mbps! 8)
-
paying for a 100mb line
Speedtest so far shows:
105.80mb/s dn/l
8.97mb/s up/l
have d/l's torrents at 10.6mbps, so can't complain :)
