whats your opnion on this guy. is he just another bullshit trainer with low fatcells from birth trying scam people into thinking they can be shredded?

the problem i have is that its impracticle  to diet to be shredded, youll suffer at your job with lower energy, and odds are in the favor of your rebounding. i remember when i used to diet, that when i binged, it took me like a week to recover my epic leans :(

He was a Marine Recon Scout Sgt. that's impressive enough for me..he's in amazing shape, has phenomenal usable muscle, not show muscle like bodybuilders, good representation of what healthy is supposed to be and look like.

I swan in an interview she was leaving biggest loser because her biological clock is ticking and she wants to settle down, raise a family and shit.  She may not be a dyke..but who knows.

rudy reyes comes off as a fugazi clown in my opinion.  every cat that I have known that has gone overseas and put in serious work ie killed people came back humble and hesitant to make any mention of such deeds.  cavalier clown here is throwing it around in mass syndicated interviews that he 'killed a lot of people' and shit like that... it kinda hurts his credibility in my eyes.  maybe I am way off base, but I would put my money on him being a super narcissistic closeted fame monger.

There is veteran down here in Balimore who during a creative writng class, put in writing that he
enjoyed killing and he wants to kill some more. He described the feeling he got when he killed...he was kicked out of the community college until he gets a mental evaluation...

Rudy wouldn't last 10min in my camp............

This was just a sample, this particular circuit was 4 rounds, 2min rest between rounds followed by a 1 miles run (sprint) for time.

Maybe Coach means he's a trainer that trains celebrities rather than a trainer who doesn't train celebrities?    ;D

I'm curious coach, what kind of times do your clients "sprint" the mile in?

I say "sprint" loosely but it depends on the person. I like to see most around 7:30-9:00.

I bet the first 1-2 rounds would be somewhat easy, but 3-4 would probably catch up to you really quick! And by that time the 2min rest period would seem non-existent.

And about the rope "toss" at the very end of the video, I've never really figured out what the hell purpose that serves!

You seriously think he wouldn't be able to do that circuit?  Wtf ???

Everyone in the fitness industry seems to think no one else works as hard as they do...
Title: Re: A celebrity trainer who's actually a trainer!!

I don't believe that, I think a lot of trainers don't train they're clients hard enough and if they do its not very well planned out, wrong exercise order, injuries, etc.
Title: Re: A celebrity trainer who's actually a trainer!!
Post by: Coach is Back! on December 19, 2010, 12:31:55 PM
Most trainers have no plan when training their clients and some even try to baffle them with bullshit gimmicks with things like "muscle confusion" we have a trainer that uses that scam (exept he really believes it).

He's delusional, he thinks his 3rd rate mma fighters train harder then guys going into combat, I don't think couch realizes how hard they train in the Marine corps

next he's gonna tell us guys engaged in a firefight in afghanistan don't measure up to his wannabe fighters taking shots in the octagon, hahaha

I agree.

I was just trying to say I think this trainer guy linked in the thread would probably be capable of complying with whatever training program you cooked up.

I'm not doubting his conditioning, I'm doubting his conditioning under heavy loads. We have former marines and members of the LAPD swat team and their sucking wind from CNS overload. The sledgehammer is 20lbs x 10swings each side, 450lb tire for time (:30) sled is 220lbs x 35 yards, keg is 150lbs x 70 yards, farmers carries are 100lbs x 30 yards, truck push 45 yards, ropes 1min
X 4 rounds and again, finishing with a 1 mile run for time.

Forgot to add on the sled pull, the rope we pull with is 2" OD.

Had no idea who Rudy Reyes was until Friday when I attended a birthday party downtown Austin. He was there for the party. Wearing a tank top and aftermarket army pants. I may have met a more falsely humble narcissistic braggart before, but I can't recall it.

I really thought he was full of crap most of the night as he went on and on about how awesome he was. I had him pegged for a stolen valor kind of guy as no one talks that much about what they did as he was. Certainly great at self promotion. I was really surprised to find out he was in the marines. Guy seemed to be in great shape.. but was flexing all night, telling anyone who would listen he was a badass (in which he would be sure to say he wasn't a badass after 30 minutes of describing how he was)...
