I use soulseek, it's great. I don't know whether it has modern stuff on it as i don't download rap, pop, or other associated.

Metal, Classical, Rock, Jazz, Folk et cetera it's very good.

Then I'd choose a better source file. Output is up to 320 Kbps (Insane quality; as good as it gets)
