Damn, seems like this will be talked about on Monday...they are running over the Lakers...
-
the Lakers are just setting their trap... L.A. has the Heat right where they want them.

I don't read much into it just like I don't think it's that big of a deal that Orlando beat Boston. It's still relatively far away from playoff time. A lot of bloggers will make it into a huge issue tomorrow or monday because that's what they're paid to do. However, I don't think we should be prisoners of the moment.

True, Magic Johnson was saying that Kobe should have sent a message to them, but it was pointed out that this happened last X-mas and Magic said the same thing...the fact that the Lakers are on cruise control, until the playoffs...I mean, why expend all that energy to for a rep...

It'd be more entertaining if teams like the Lakers and Celtics would play to their full potential all regular season but they won't. It's not realistic for older teams. The last folks to do that were the Bulls in the late 90's.

True, but I think that they are thinking of longevity...why waste energy playing at full throttle, and be drained at playoffs?

Game was sad.

Lakers got crushed by Cleveland at home last year on Xmas day.
Miami played well and showed surprisingly active defense, but you can't read a lot into this loss for the Lakers. The only point of concern is the Bynum situation. Is this guy a long-term asset or liability?

What trap is that?

It's hard to call him a liability when they've won 2 straight title with him being hurt. If anything I'd say asset or non-factor?

refs in game 7 give lakers 35 free shots vs 15 for miami then no fun for miami kobe mr hero once again thanks stern! barf!

Oddly the magic beat the celtics.
Is this all marketing?
Is NBA trying to keep everyone interested?
:)
Brett favre did throw into traffic instead of stepping outa bound and letting field goal win game vs saints.

Out of the 4 major sports in America, Basketball is said to be more scripted than any other sport. Some believe Stern holds all the cards and tells the refs which strings to pull. Its show business.

LBJ seems to play best in regular season games that get amp'd up. Rarely does he perform that well in the post season. Aside from his performance against the Pistons in the conference finals nothing great sticks out.
