According to Dave Meltzer of Yahoo! Sports/Wrestling Observer, Brock is currently looking for an "exit strategy" from the UFC.
Meltzer said on his radio show that the fight with Velasquez has changed Brock's attitude on fighting and he is at the stage in his life where he doesn't want to get injured. He's very well off financially and the business man in him apparently knows that it may be time to move on.
Meltzer also mentioned that Brock hasn't trained a single day since the Velasquez fight nor he has returned any phone calls to Dana or Zuffa about upcoming matches.
Dave pointed out if Brock was motivated, he would be right back in the gym training and bringing in new coaches with the goal of beating Cain yet he isn't doing that. He's hunting and hasn't even thought about his next fight. Lesnar apparently wants to do WrestleMania "badly" and will earn an estimated 2 million dollars for 30 minutes of work.
Everything is pointing towards Brock having one more fight and ending his contract. His head doesn't seem to be in the fighting game and it looks like it was just yet another successful business move.

Well if he does one more fight Dana will be sure to put him in there with someone who will rape him or just make him look bad......
-
Cue Swede to drop down to his knees in front of his life size Brock poster, that is hanging on the back of his door. And utter the words as he prays: "Say it ain't so. Why has thou forsaken me?"
-
Shows what a fucking joke UFC is. Well done hyping this fucktard. ::)

"Swede" is a failure.

That's what happens when an "upgraded" street brawler meets his match. Just shows that deep inside he's not a fighter, just a pussy cashing in a "sport" where a big guy can just make an illusion seem true for a while. He just got his ass-kicked and realized he didn't quite like it. Pretty funny if you ask me.

If this is true, and not some publicity stunt, what shows what type of a man you are, is after your beating, loss, or whatever, you can climb back up, and later on utter the infamous Al Bundy words, "Let's Rock!"
not every fighter is gonna win every fight, it was his fragile ego that was broken...

i will say this; Brock has lost twice. Once to Frank Mir and once to Cain. But Despite eventually beating shane carwin, Shane beat the crap out of Brock. So brock has been beaten up before.
I think if Brock was still in his 20's he would looking to avenge his loss to Cain (as he successfully did with Mir). But brock is like 35. He probably cant stand being around the UFC people or UFC fans. Thats why he always dissapears after his fights. Just eats, lifts weights, and hunts. ... And ignores the pesky phone calls from Dana White!
PS. Cain Velasquez is not losing anytime soon!
-
I'm really shocked, unless its spin to set up a "will he prove everyone wrong or won't he" heat for his next fight.
Dayum.
???
-
as talented as Brock is, he can't seem to stay with anything for long.
wwe
football
now this.
he doesn't seem to have any staying power in anything he does thus far.
which is a shame, because in terms of athletic gifts, there is none better.
I still think he was one of the best ever in a WWE ring, even though his self inhibited career was very short.

life threatening illness ::)

Maybe this is like how he basically died in hospital a couple of months before he came back to defend his title the first time. ::)

Gets his ass kicked, and pusses out.
True bully, cant take it.
If Carwin wasnt sauced up, and had some cardio, he would have beat his ass also.
-
What it comes down to is bully syndrome. Brock is just a big bully that get's by on intimidation and aura. Once that is shattered he doesn't know how to deal with it. Probably pushed everyone around as a kid and in college and everyone was scared of him. Hype, hype, hype. Once the going got tough and someone came around and pushed back he didn't know how to handle it and took his ball and went home. I bet he cried for days now that his aura was completely shattered. He'll never recover because highlights of his fight with Cain will be played for eternity and it will continually eat away at him. Kids and wife are going to be getting smacked around more than ever to make himself feel better.
-
We should bear in mind this whole story is all made up "hype hype hype" before we start getting all angry. Dana WHite would love us all to believe this speculation.
-
I think Brock is the victim of hype created by Dana to sell the UFC. Instead of letting him develop as a fighter, he was used to make a quick buck. Not to mention most of the other top fighters having year and years of experience on him in MMA. Athletic freak.
-
At least proper MMA fans all know Pride was better and that Fedor is the best there's ever been, which hopefully slightly irritates Dana White. Or if it doesn't hopefully Strikeforce can continue to steal fans from UFC's Yankocentric hype fest.

I'm assuming you saw Brock fight Carwin. Right?
Carwin beatdown Brock far worse than Velasquez did. Brock was bleeding pretty bad. But Brock held strong and eventually beat Carwin. So Brock isnt just a pretender.
-
If Carwin had any kind of cardio, he would have beat Brocks ass. He got winded, his punches then turned into those of a girl, Brock weathered the storm, and won over a totally gassed Carwin.
-

I think Carwin punched Brock for like 4 minutes straight. Of course he ran out of steam. My point is that Brock is not a pussy.
The top 2 Heavyweight fighters in the UFC are Junior Dos Santos and Cain Velasquez. Its not a shame to lose to guys like them. I dont Think Cain will lose anytime soon.
Brock and Carwin are 3rd and 4th in my mind.
-
How does Dave Meltzer know this when Lesnar doesnt even responds to Dana white phonecalls but someone meltzer knows all of Brocks thoughts? how? lol.
Brock wanted to try and see if he could become the best, and if he couldnt he would walk away, and he did get the belt.. maby that was enough for him. Keep in mind he was close to dying when having a new born kid on the side. Maby his priotities changed after that.. Doesnt need to money and realised an great striker with good wrestling Can take him..
And its obvious he doesnt like all this stuff surrouding UFC; doesnt like doing all the publicity stuff anymore, just wanted to fight whihc is why he always dissapears right afterwards.
Hopefully he comes back but changes camp before and improves his striking. But cant blame him if he wants to stay at home with his kids and wife and do whatever the fuck he wants to.

You are wrong. See how angry he got when he saw those clips of Mir beating him in that interview? He couldn't take it. That is why he is not a champion. But let's be honest, Cain was just too much for him and once he got taken down Brock just melted away. He will never watch that fight because his mystique was shattered and he knows it. All his cronies around him can't kiss his ass and call him the toughest anymore because they know it's not true. It's over.

he is a champ. He lost to Mir. Then cameback the next year and beat Mir. He overcame his first loss and beat a former champ.... Make that 2 former champs: Mir and Randy Couture

do u understand how good Cain Velasquez is? Jeez. Dos Santos is dangerous as hell too. There are some tough dudes in the UFC heavyweight division right now.

So your not a fan of a man trying to put another man in a rear naked choke hold ???

He has about the same experience as Cain, Carwin, JDS. He also has a very good amateur wrestling background which is a very strong base for mma.
He just doesn't like getting hit, retreat and surrender signal goes off. That and he isn't a very good fighter.

Only if it takes place between the pre-judging and night-show on Olympia weekend.

I heard rumors that they wasn't allowed to hit hin the face during training and if thats true almost I loose a bit of respect lol. MAby hes afraid of taking another cuncushion (spell) after taking too many in wwe and maby cares about his brain health lol.
If I switches camp I want him back. If not, then hes not gonna get any better.

You can't go in to a fight with a mentality of not wanting to get hurt. I think he is also past his physical prime, his amateur days were a long time ago and he seems to have lost a step.
It happens, good strikers, good wrestlers, judoka, bjj guys, sometimes they have trouble transitioning to mma and picking up the other skillsets.
He should go back to WWE earn a few mill more and then retire and do whatever the fuck he wants.

for the little we saw, his striking actually did look improved. How improved might we never know because people dont strike good against Cain, especially when you're new to itl
He has one fight left at least on his contract. If dana thinks it will be his last fight it will be against mir I think. (someone has mentioned crocop)

Yes but Swede....you have gone on and on and on (making a complete fool of yourself) about how great, how tough, how unbeatable this guy is...turns out you were a little off in your assessment, to say the least.

good video. Its time for Velasquez vs Dos Santos

Dana should let Lesnar crush Cro Cop put his ass in retirment to.

Some of you studs are missing the big picture here. Brock Lesnar is no idiot.
Why is he going to waste his time at the UFC making pennies over a "REAL" fight, when he can instead go to the WWF and make a fast 2 Million from 30 minutes worth of theatrics?
The man just came to the same realization that most smart men do, it's all about the money. Who in their right minds would want to get their face smashed in by a true brawler, when they can instead make easy money from choreographed stageplay?
Quinton Jackson has the same mindframe. He checked out of the UFC a long time ago. After losing his belt, he got into the big screen with the "A" team production and then decided that instead of getting his ass whooped, he'd much rather have his ass kissed by a boatload of new fans that catch him on the big screen.
Everybody has a price...

I truthfully don't care to know what real fighting with honor and prestige entails. In today's day, I doubt anyone can truthfully claim to witness that form of fighting. Unless you can go back to the time of the Greeks where men actually believed in the honor and prestige of battle followed by sex with other men, what's left today is just for show.
Show me a link that has "REAL" fighting with honor and prestige. For as much as some of you claim the UFC to be something else, it is the closest thing that is legal to watch and has elements which closely resemble what a true fight should look like.
Frankly, I'd much rather skip the fighting and go straight to the fucking. I'd take Brock Lesnar in a heartbeat and submit his ass via anal pwnage.

Not surprised. He wrestled in junior college for two years. A guy with all that talent going to junior college mean only one thing. Dumb as fuck.
-
Sounds savvy to me.
He's most likely got something else going on. Like a return to WWE. Or acting or something.
It's a smart move. He knows he's a celebrity and he can make tons of money off his name and his image. He doesn't need to fight to make big cash.

Exactly.
I always like the "4 niggaz jump a white guy and beat him, they're such animals" threads.
First off, i thought you fight to win, not to show what a cavalier you are. Second, the white dude in question should've known better and worked harder in life to never be in a situation where negroidals congregate.
There's no "honor" in life. It's bullshit made up to fill time slots on the Lifetime network. Everyone's fucking everyone in the ass and trying to make a buck out of it.
Back on topic, Cock Chestnar seems like he has a lot of demons in his head. Or maybe not, maybe he just couldn't hold a 9 to 5, and being an ogre that he is, he cashed in on his size and athletic ability while relatively young. Not everyone can be "the greatest". I think he's a family man who lives in some canyon in the northern states somewhere, far away from civilized society. I think he hated every second of his fame, but weighed his options and decided he'd be "famous" for about 10 years, suck every penny out of it and disappear.
Honor....ha ha... ::) ::)
Hey OneMoreRep, do you have a profile page on model mayhem?

Show me a link that has "REAL" fighting with honor and prestige. For as much as some of you claim the UFC to be something else, it is the closest thing that is legal to watch and has elements which closely resemble what a true fight should look like.
Frankly, I'd much rather skip the fighting and go straight to the fucking. I'd take Brock Lesnar in a heartbeat and submit his ass via anal pwnage.

A lot of truth to this. Now he can get back into wrestling where is ego will be stroked every night.
-
Bottom line is Brock really doesn't have the skills to take it to the level that MMA is going. He is fun to watch but lets face it, the skill set that some of these guys are starting to show in that weight class is far and above anything Brock would ever be able to attain. He just doesn't have age on his side for the progression that is necessary. Bow out and go make your millions in the WWE

Hey OneMoreRep, do you have a profile page on model mayhem?
I tried to open a page once, but under the Artist/Member Categories needed to start a page, they didn't quite have what I fit into.
I was searching for Overly Flamboyant Homosexual, but instead they had every other type of synonymous gay term (Model, Photographer, Makeup Artist, Hair Stylist, Wardrobe, Artist/painter, event planner, Advertiser, film maker, Body Painter, Director, Casting, Actor, Clothing designer - All of which is just another term for Gay Man) except for that one.

sid would rather be playing softball his first love.

Honor....ha ha... ::) ::)
Hey OneMoreRep, do you have a profile page on model mayhem?
Whateva, you like watching people have a racial sensitivity meltdown as much as I do. ;D
-
He should fight one more time at least. Go out on a good note.

"I used to be poor and angry. Now i've got ten million dollars in the bank, I live in a mansion, and i've turned into a total pussy. I'm done fighting."

For all of WWE, a bully who gets the sloppy seconds...yeah, he's a happy guy...
-
Personally I don't watch either MMA or "pro" wrestling. I'm not the brightest bulb in a socket but neither do I have a room temperature IQ. That crap is for cultural philistines.
-
since brock has lost his aura of invincibility in mma i dont think the transition back into WWE will go very well since he got smashed up by a skinny fat twink
-
That's why he needs an easy fight next. Guys in the upper echeleon will either beat him or give him the fight of his life. Give him someone he can crush.
-
Cain broke him and took his soul I guess
-
Lesnar Should fight the falcon , i will be sure to get my
150 min of fame
-
which is a shame, because in terms of athletic gifts, there is none better
Overeem has more athletic talent
-
mma is serious business
-
Meltzer has since clarified that he does believe Brock will fight once or twice next year, maybe even do a season of Ultimate Fighter. Brock just really wants to do that Wrestlemania appearance/ match.
-
If/when Brock decides to retire/leave the UFC, Dana "biggest bullshitter ever" White will make sure it will be against someone who will make Brock look really bad so that the "god-king" image that Dana made for himself won't be taken down a notch.
I'm not a real fan of Brock, but he is/was a true athlete and is not a "bully" by heart. Hype yes, but hype alone will help you get a free pass in many things and helps you immensely. People like to say that he's a bully, but anyone who achieved at least something or made something out of themselves as an amateur wrestler can't be. I wrestled from the age of 6 to my early 20's and in that sport you will have to dig down to your very soul and look into to the mirror so many times, that someone with a bully's heart simply can't take it. I saw so many "bad asses" come and go that it wasn't even funny, 90% of those guys never even made it to their first small town tournament. My point being that if Brock was a pure bully he would had never made anything out of himself, not even in the US. ;D
Brock is a smart man and has other priorities now, he should fight once, do the wrestlemania and retire laughing all the way to the bank. 8)

You add getting punched in the head to the equation and it changes things.
I have respect for wrestling and grappling in general but striking is a whole different level.

Yes i know and agree, i also did and teached tae kwon do (not the olympic bs.) but the real deal old school version (this was "back in the day" when i was a "student" and had all the time in the world). Anyways i also have some experience and "knowledge" about mma and i do know how it feels to get hit or kicked in the head by someone who knows what their doing. Needless to say it ain't fun, but my point was that someone who is a true wrestler at heart will never give up. By that i mean even if you fuck up bad, you will come back. I have huge respect to all athletes whether it's archery or strongmen, it takes a lot of dedication and hard work being really good at something. Striking is important, but i've seen so many boxers go into a state of pure panic after being taken down, but like many have said you have to be well rounded in mma no matter what's your background.

By any chance, are you Native American?
That icon you sport under your screen name is very convincing.
I've even found myself inadvertently reading your posts with a mental voiceover that mimics that of every Native American Tribe Chief portrayed in those 1970's cowboy-friendly, Western Movies.
I picture you as this man:

Meltzer explains Lesnar's goals for 2011
Yahoo!’s Dave Meltzer and Steve Cofield talk about Brock Lesnar’s wishes for 2011. He wants to fight MMA and participate in Wrestlemania 27. Will UFC prez Dana White budge? Find out.

Thank you for the vote of confidence.
Honestly, I do think of that poster as some sort of rebellious Native American who sneaks out of the reservation every so often, just to post on GetBig.

Bottom line...Brock is lame. His heart is not that of a pro fighter, despite all the bravado prior to the Cain loss.
33 years old and he's thinking about his retirement plans. ::)
Brock should just go away.
-

That was actually funny :), but no i'm (still) 100% finnish (as in from Finland) :o. That also explains the hockey fanaticism... I think i have posted that countless times since i started posting on getbig 5+ years ago. I mainly post on the steroid forum, so you propably have missed all those posts... 8)

You're probably right...
I only post on the GAY forum, so I probably never caught those prior posts of yours.
Either way, Indian or Finnish, you're ok* in my book!

* "OK" as in send me a PM and maybe we can get to the tribal stuff that Indians are truly known for..

Well, thanks i guess, i do try to avoid needless meltdown wars. ;D
(BTW I'm plenty happy with DA vagina)
and since I'm a powerlifter and not a bodybuilder i don't have to through the G4P scene... ;D

as talented as Brock is, he can't seem to stay with anything for long.
wwe
football
now this.
he doesn't seem to have any staying power in anything he does thus far.
which is a shame, because in terms of athletic gifts, there is none better.
I still think he was one of the best ever in a WWE ring, even though his self inhibited career was very short.
Quits when the going gets tough. He'll end up selling used cars...for a week, when some rude customer hurts his feelings and again he says, "I'm done with this shit." He won't recover.
-
All this "heart of a fighter" stuff in MMA makes me laugh.....give me a break. Brock has participated in collegiate wrestling, pro wrasslin, pro football and mma.....he's done more in under 10 years than most dream of in a lifetime. I'm sure he'll try heavyweight boxing next followed by a brief stint in the rugby capped off with a brief return to pro wrasslin. Shortly thereafter we'll all see the inevitable tv news flash "retired pro wrestler and mma fighter Brock Lesnar was found dead in his Las Vegas hotel room Tuesday morning from what appears to be a painkiller overdose."
