Title: Day 1 of tea party rule.
Post by: 240 is Back on January 06, 2011, 08:47:55 AM
These tea party guys take over... first thing they do is waste taxpayer dollars by reading the constitution on the house floor all day long.   Don't worry about repealing obamacare or FinReg or coming up with some solutions for this crap/trade mess.

Instead, let's appeal to the base by standing around posing.  Splendid!

(And of course, the dems are jumping on board so the tea party members can't accuse them of hating the constitution)

seriously.  yall have known for 2 months that you have the job.  you should have spent that time writing up legislation to introduce TODAY.

Instead, it's standing around being posers.  I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.  Surely AFTER they do their reading, they'll introduce their legislation and SOLUTIONS they promised ;)

Seems like a good move to me since Democrats need to be educated on what the constitution states.

Easy 240. It's going to take more than a day to undo all the harm done by the Dems, Obama and supporters like you in the past 4 years. One repeal at a time. One repeal at a time.

So let me get this straight, you constantly piss and moan about the government ignoring the Constitution as they trample all over your perceived rights yet now that the GOP is aiming to go back to holding themselves to the Constitution you're crying about them reading it? Are you really crying about them reading the document that this entire country was built around?

You've turned into the worst troll on this forum.

In my opinion it was worth it just to see the leftists show their true colors. People like Ezra Klein and co. who are ranting about how the Constitution should be ignored. Seems that you fall into this category as well.  ;)

'Birther' arrested during Constitution reading
POLITICO ^ | January 6, 2011

A woman was arrested in the House gallery Thursday after interrupting a reading of the Constitution by yelling out her belief that President Barack Obama is not a natural born citizen of the United States.

When Frank Rep. Pallone (D-N.J.) read the part of Article II, Section 1 mandating that only a "natural-born citizen" may be president, the woman, seated in the front row of the public gallery, screamed "Except Obama, except Obama. Help us Jesus."

(snip)

why would anybody want that?  They seem to do nothing but make things worse with everything they get their hands on.  As far as I'm concerned, they should spent the rest of the year repealing and reading.

Ironic that NOW you care about the deficit.  ::)

This is really funny, how many times have I had to post excerpts of the constitution for the same dumbass's who are complaining about this. Guess what these fuckers take an oath to uphold the constitution, they should at least know what it says. My guess is, that if GB represents a cross section of our society, this is probably the first time most in congress would have a clue what the document actually says.

240 - WHERE IS THE LONG FORM BC?

I dunno.  Does the law say he has to show it?  Nope.

And while I share your belief he was born elsewhere... until the repubs sack up and actually pass a law requiring a long BC... then whining about it is pointless.

Did you call your senator this morning to ask her to pass such legislation?  I'm sure gillebrandt would love to hear from ya bro.

Any one born outside the United States, if one parent is a citizen and lived in the U.S. for at least one year and the other parent is a U.S. national
Any one born in a U.S. possession, if one parent is a citizen and lived in the U.S. for at least one year
