Title: Forearms?
Post by: Firemuscle on January 08, 2011, 12:34:16 AM
How do you all train your forearms?

I do high really reps usually, like 40 reps. Usually 4 sets reverse curls and then a few sets of wrist curls until my forearms feels tight and muscles are fried.

What do you do for yours?

Hang Chins...

Hang on to the bar until your forearms burst into flamage.

Buckets of sand. Make a fist and find a way to grind your way to the bottom of the bucket.

Reverse BB wrist curls

Forward BB wrist curls

Hammer DB curls

Rope, Plate and Rollup bar

Plate Pinch Grip Holds

Overhand BB curls

Lotsa flexing and twist-holds of fists

Reverse curl variations, hammer curls, pin wheel curls, eliminating the use of straps on all assistance work.

hammer curls , not using straps unless you realy need to on shrugs and back work helps a big deal too

deadlifts realy help as far as developing strength tho, and for the most unbearable pump,  broom shank roll ups, ive been meaning to make a new one for our gym for ages

Wtf? Did not expect to see a guy that size for armwrestling competitions. Bi's are probably just as good as Lee Priest's used to be.

On what planet are that guy's legs "way small"?

His legs didn't look very small in the video. He just looks like an all around big boy. There is a vid on youtube of him doing bench  100kg X43, and another one of a 595 raw bench. 308lbs at 6'0", I thought it was very odd  for a guy to get that big just for armwrestling, but I guess he mainly does strongman comps..

Good tips. I never really do grips and holds, I should start it up. I want to really focus on my forearms and try to bring them up so i'm gonna blast the shit out of them 110%.
