Title: Fox News CEO Roger Ailes: Fox And 'The Other Side' Need To Tone Down Rhetoric
Post by: blacken700 on January 10, 2011, 02:50:26 PM

Fox News CEO Roger Ailes said that he has told his network to "tone it down" in the wake of the shooting in Arizona, and that he hopes the "other side" will do so as well.

Ailes' comments appeared in a conversation with Russell Simmons that was published on Simmons' website, Global Grind. He said that any attempts to connect Fox News or the Tea Party to the shooting were "bullshit," and that "both sides" were responsible for extreme rhetoric.

But Ailes did say that he had issued a warning to Fox News staff.

"I told all of our guys, shut up, tone it down, make your argument intellectually," Ailes said. You don't have to do it with bombast. I hope the other side does that."

If only liberals sites like the HP, MSNBC and other hate-mongers on the left would follow suit.

Kudos to Fox for recognizing their problem. Meanwhile, the left sits in dream land trying to exploit the murder of a child and further drive a wedge between the people of this country instead of doing the right thing and following suit. Vile.

BF - I barely even watch TV anymore.   After seeing the coverage this weekend, I was so disgusted and revolted I just had to turn it off.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. ..Fox is going after the hypocritical nature of the coverage between this and the Hood shooting. They're nailing everybody.....oh yeah.  They're blasting everybody on the bullshit surrounding this. Even Juan Williams is blasting the double standard. James Rosen...awsome.

I get all my news from the internet. I can't think of the last time I actually watched one of these channels. CNN was the only one I watched while doing cardio but ever since they decided to swing to the left to fix their tanking ratings I started watching ESPN or reading a book.

I worked closely with Fox on my last deployment and got to talk to the number 2 under Ailes, over the phone while we were supporting their coverage of the draw down on Sept 1. They love the military and do alot to support us.

How is it one-sided? I've yet to see the left-wing media do anything but try to pin this on Palin and the right, despite the mountain of evidence indicating that this guy, should he be politically affiliated in anyway, is a leftist. Anything to save face, I guess.

I know you're of the belief that everything out of the mouth of the far-left amounts to candy canes and gum drops but the hundreds of posts over the last few days prove otherwise. Calling your fellow Americans terrorists, telling your Latino constituents to go out and "punish your enemies" and the mountains of other hateful, violence-advocating rhetoric out of the dems is anything but nice.

Look at Hugo's thread below, you far-leftists are actually going after the parents of the murdered 9-year-old girl now in order to exploit this incident. It's nothing short of revolting. You proud of that?

Tell that to the people in Cali who have bluecross  or the people in CT getting 50% hikes due to ObamaCare.

Even Evan Thomas said Bamacare is a "disaster".
