That's why I'm leaving.

I'm on the West Coast and it's not as cold as other places, but it's cold enough to be cranky as fuck about it. Hate going to the gym when my toes and fingers are frozen. Especially because I like to smoke a joint before the gym which makes it worse.

listen, porky. take xfactor up on his advise.
you might learn how to actually accomplish something inside of a gym, other than snapping pics of your fat sloppy 'physique' while engaged in different poses and making strange faces to post for a bunch of anonymous men on an internet bodybuilding forum.

I love it when people in NY report their temperature in degrees C to try and make it sound like they live in some bad-ass Siberian wasteland where only the hardiest toughman can survive.

Laval and all the way across Ontario to almost Lake Ontario I remember it now heat or hydro for over a week (-15 ect) and couldn't leave the house everything was literally covered in inches of ice. Vehicles were almost impossible to get into let alone drive, with all roads and flat surfaces being like a skating rink.
The region essentially shut down for days on end until everyone could get their ducks all in a row.

Yep, first time I was there everything was solid ice and there was a power outage too. Thank God the hotel I stayed at had power. Plus the French girls helped ease the pain. ;D

Alex, I have a dilemma.
I hear you wife has experience in stocks and shares, and may be able to assist
I have 30$ to invest.
I am looking to procure a futures buy out, centered around the following:
- five watermelons
- 400oz of Grape juice
- 4lb Collard Greens
- Raw sweet potatoes
- Marijuana
I have, in my possession, $4.98 of KFC coupons.
Now, the question/dilema I'd appreciate some assistance with, is:
Just 'WHERE' did the $30 dollars come from?
-

It's not very big. Downtown basically consists of 2 streets -- princess and ontario st. All the clubs (bars) are mostly on Princess st. Stages night club is like a high school dance. Grizzly Bar and Grill is the known "cougar" hang out and where most of the people who've hit the wall go.
Best feature in Kingston is that it doesn't just have one Denny's, but 2 Denny's restaurants! :D
It's been a long time since I've worked out back home in Kingston but I guess the best gym is the Goodlife downtown. Don't go to premier at the Frontenac mall, they rob people blind apparently. The YMCA is ok, or at least it used to be but has tons of punks and ex convicts. Lots of prisons in and around kingston so there are quite a few criminals there. lol Basically, on any given day downtown you'll run into Queens students, townies, RMC cadets, military, young fort drum soldiers (they like to border jump to hit 19+ clubs to drink), lots of hockey players, and of course the ex cons and cons on day passes. It makes for an interesting mix once the bars kick everyone out at 2:30-3 am on a weekend night. I don't know if it's as bad but back in the day there were some pretty big brawls.
The best part of Kingston is there aren't many immigrants and the ones there aren't FOBS and are actually well socialized for the most part. lol

I had a three-day free trial pass at Premier...wasn't impressed. They had one squat rack, hardly any plates, and I didn't see a single good-looking woman the entire time. I'm just going to use Queen's gym. It's only $35 a month and is pretty nice.

Yea, I've heard the Queens gym was decent. A really nice gym actually is the RMC gym located across the cosway bridge downtown. It's MASSIVE and very nice with tons of equipment. It used to be open to the public, I think, as long as you paid. I may be wrong though since I remember a friend of mine in the military would get me in from time to time.
All in all it's definitely a summer town. Downtown by the lake is nice. There are quite a few decent patio's in the summer on Ontario st..
Stay away from the only strip club in Kingston called the Plaza but known as "The Zoo". Nasty on all accounts.
Are you living downtown or more uptown towards the Cataraqui town center? "Uptown" is really expanding and where you want to go if you need any shopping done, or dinner/movies.
-
Sounds like a shitty town.

Honestly, I used to think that, but downtown Toronto is the true hell on earth.

Most cities in North America are. Especially most inland places.
You get away from the coasts in the US and Canada, and you go inland, it turns into a fucked up world pretty quick.
The Southwest is perhaps an exception to this though. Lots of cool spots around there.

In Canada, Toronto is the both the best city and the worst at the same time. So much culture and character, but it's too much. I can never imagine raising a family here. I would never want my kids to grow up around this type of cold and unforgiving atmosphere. I mean shit, teachers don't care about their students, doctors don't give a rats ass about their patients and cops don't care who gets shot next. I read some article on how the average police officer only follows up on 1-2 calls per shift. Apparently they let over 50% of their calls go.
I had thought I heard a gun shot in my apartment a while back and told the security guard when I took my dog out about 10 minutes later. He was like " if it's serious someone will call the police" and laughed adding " none of my (his) business". I was like WTF

In Canada, Toronto is the both the best city and the worst at the same time. So much culture and character, but it's too much. I can never imagine raising a family here. I would never want my kids to grow up around this type of cold and unforgiving atmosphere. So I guess Toronto is the Southern Cali of Canada then?

Sounds like a shitty town.
Sounds like the kind of place i'll go when i'm ready to die.
Without the St. Lawrence river it would be a shitty town. The water makes it a kick ass place to spend the summer. The prisons too ;D

I live on the north side of town. It's alright. I'll reserve judgement until the summer.

Paul Van Dyke is there tonight. I never waited in lines ;D
Hey FlexB, I like your avatar-I have two Dobermans. Hey you remember Chris Sheppard at RPM's (remember, I'm just pulling this stuff off the interweb-I am a gimmick that lives in Cali and drives hummers)
STAY POSITIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, and Kingstonians don't understand "north, south, east, west" They understand "right, left, downtown and uptown" :D
