Not understanding why people are complaining about him standing on the sideline yesterday. The 3rd-stringer was *clearly* the best QB option for da Bears, so the guy helped his team by removing himself from the game.
I want Hanie in silver & black next year.

A sprain is a tear...more than likely a grade 1 or 2.
Not always....a sprain involves stretching, partial tearing, or complete rupture of a ligament. If it is a grade 1 tear, less than 10% of the fibers potentially are torn.
Regardless....it better be grade 3...or chicago is going to go ape shit.

The guy (john Elway) Jay Cutler said he had a better throwing arm tore his ACL completely in highschool and Doctors said he would never play football again managed to walk his back into football and play college ball at Stanford and play 16 Hall of fame years in the NFL WITHOUT an ACL

cutlers a fucking quitter. he has no heart. this is for a trip to the biggest game you'll ever play in your competitive career and you cant play?
not only did he let himself down, he let his taammates down. he has ZERO heart.

bunch of f@@king clowns in this thread. jay cutler got his team to the champion ship game and got hurt, was under center pretty much the whole season. reggie bush played one game all season, got called up against seattle to be the 1# back yet again and got hurt again. they both made about 8.5M this yr.

btw...to all saints fans that b###h said he is willing to renegotiate his 11.5M for fair market value. f##kin 3rd down back who cant stay healthy for 5 games a season. minimum salary + incentives but they'll resign because the coach wont suck it up and say he f@@ked up with the pick.

Hmm...as much as I hate Favre for what he did to GB....the guy was fucked up in many games and STILL played. Hell, even Vick didnt let one of the trainers take his helmet in the last playoff game even though he should have come out.
Everyone keeps saying how he got sacked 50+ times....if its possible to look at the sacks...see how many were actually "devastating"....and how many were just him being tied up and the whistle is blown....how many are him being simply "tripped up".....etc.
Also what is funny is that its PLAYERS who are calling him a pussy. People who are his peers....not reporters....not analysts.....etc. I bet Denver fans are saying "we told you so"

It's still considered a tear, and would need to be rehabbed daily for at least a couple of weeks. Bottom line is, if he couldn't plant his leg to throw then what good what he have done by staying in?

But here's the part I don't get about idiot Bears fan: the guy looked like shit *before* he got hurt, so why the heck would you want him in the game in the first place?
As for 'players around the league' calling him a pussy, again, these guys are idiots. To argue that Jay Cutler gave the Bears the 'best chance to win' is complete and total bullshit and is part of the reason their teams are already home - they don't know how to analyze a goddamn thing on game film. Yes, Hanie gave up the easy pick-6 when he didn't see the guy, but with the exception of that one play, what on EARTH did Cutler show you in the first half to indicate he was ready to lead that team to victory...or even to a single point??

This breaking news courtesy the Chicago Tribune:
Jay Cutler(notes) and girlfriend Kristin Cavallari dined at Mastro's Steakhouse on Sunday after the Bears' 21-14 loss to the Packers in the NFC championship game.
Cutler, who left the game in the third quarter with a knee injury, was not on crutches but "he limped a tiny bit," according to a source. The couple was joined by 11 other people in Mastro's private upstairs dining room, and our spies tell us that he took the stairs rather than the elevator.
