-
I took some shots of our giant billboards last night.
They are at in the City and on the airport Freeway.
At 12 metres wide they are a sight to see. I couldn't get the smile off my face.

You're advertising with Kai and Phil on your posters when neither of them does compete?

You're advertising with Kai and Phil on your posters when neither of them does compete?
Kai is the current champ, having won in 2009 and 2010. So we often use the previous winner on the poster, eg Dexter, Lee, Ronny Rockel etc
The other is a billboard to advertise FitX, my sport and fitness expo. There is a representative from each part of the expo for the general public, so I used Phil's image to represent bodybuilding. There is a strongman, who will be there then a yoga chick, a kickboxer and a triathlete that are just representative of thier area. To the the average Joe motorist, he just sees muscle, yoga, runner etc.
I would not falsley represent anything. I hope this explains.

Mike Kefalianos for sure, he has been knocking on the door of some big shows and could be top 3 anywhere.
Ivan Sadek is capable of a top 3 finish but not competing this year.
Con Demetriou can be very good if he comes in sliced. Not sure if he is coming this year but he is a very good bodybuilder

It looks like we have Victor Martinez signed up. We are just waiting for his visa to be confirmed. Victor has always wanted to visit Australia and is one of the best bodybuilders of the last decade. I will confirm here when it is definite.

Tony, i just viewed th recent photos of you with Flex...wow...you have put on a lot of weight: big round face, bald, bad skin, skinny arms and large abdomen.
Tony, you are a pivotel figure within the health and fitness community. That being said, why in god's name could you let yourself go like that?
Tony, you have gyms and are surrounded by driven health and fitness professionalions. Surely it can't be hard to garner some motivation from your surroundings?
Tony, time for you to chime in with 'I am really too busy for all that!' ..lol

Con won't be there this year. Sliced? Con is one of the most sliced athletes on stage, he just needs a little more size.

Con has great shape and lines but his contest day look is hit or miss. I saw him at the Flex pro last week and he could get a lot harder.
I also talked to him about his presentation, compulsories and 1/4 turns. He needs to work it a lot harder.

Silvio Samuel will make his comeback show here in Melbourne. He has won the Ironman and been runner up here. (subject to visa approval).
He is one of the most ripped athletes ever and great with his fans.

After promoting professional bodybuilding and fitness events and running gyms for over 20 years, we have seen our industry grow to enormous heights.
The push to be fit and toned has never been more popular, the awareness of the importance of good health has never been as high.
The most popular aspect of our bodybuilding and fitness events, although smaller than FitX, has always been the expo.
It became obvious that it was time to expand our vision to create an event that included all fitness and sporting participants and fans,
FitX is the show that the fitness industry and gym goer has demanded. We have developed a concept that involves a unique combination of exhibition and entertainment.
For the first time ever in Australia we will see amateur and pro bodybuilding, pro figure and strongman competitions under one roof.
The meet and greet opportunities for UFC, bodybuilding and sporting fans alike has never been done anywhere in Australia.
We would like to acknowledge and thank our naming partner, Global Fitness Institute.
Our event partners GNC, Gaspari Nutrition, MSR Motorsports and Matrix. Our Media partners, Herald Sun and TripleM.
The support and belief of these partners has enabled us to make this, the first ever FitX event to be world class in every aspect.
The response and support of our diverse range of exhibitors is testament to the demand for an event like this.
We encourage industry professionals, gym owners and trainers to network extensively and take full advantage of this incredible meeting opportunity.
We trust that you, the fan and visitor will take the time to support and engage with all of the exhibitors that have helped to bring FitX to you.
Enjoy the entertainment on and around the main stage. You will see some amazing feats of strength, skill and incredible human development throughout both days of FitX.
FitX will continue to grow, we will endeavour to raise the bar, to bring you the best of everything available for many years to come.
Be entertained, be inspired and get involved!

Really? what's the story??

Was Silvio's visa rejected or did he have more health problems?
-
Was Silvio's visa rejected or did he have more health problems?
He seems very healthy, what actually happened is that he, with best intentions launched his application too close to the contest. There was not enough time to have it approved, so it was not rejected at all.
I have had him here before so there is no probs with a visa given the right time to serve due process.

Sounds like poor organisation from the promoter to me....

I would agree if you weren't so wrong. The fact is that Silvio only agreed that he was ready to compete 2 weeks before the show. He was not on my original list.
I did everything possible to improve the lineup, that included flying to LA with a bunch of contracts 3 weeks before the contest. As a promoter and as you know, I do everything possible to put on the best show possible.
-
how the fk is that a promoters fault!? cos an athlete places his application for a visa so late? my guess is silvio never handed in his essays on time either back in school....thats probably bad organisation by his teacher too? he aint a baby! silvio got lazy....or...
uninterested.
i smell a situation where he both wanted to keep promoter happy but also didnt want to entirely commit to the show at heart for whatever reason and then "oops! looks like my visa wont be ready in time...sorry promoter, i did try, but FOR SURE next year!"
thats if the british dont steal all the competitors from ozy land again next year. these pros dont wana travel 3 (including flight home) exhausting flights within a week of each other ya know...it seems now it is clear after this year, ya either go to the ozy grand prix or the british...
whos gona have the best deal for these pros around this time every year? ???
british won this new "war" this year.
