Silva could have ended that kid's world at any time in that match. Those little bumps at the end were "okay, i'm breaking a sweat now, let's call it a day kid".
The kid was fighting with all his might. Cool matchup.

That is not Wanderlei losing his cool. As a matter of fact, that is nowhere him going full speed. If that man goes full speed, he could have knocked that kid out in 5 seconds.
That is a slow-pace purposely done in light of the opponent being a kid..
Wanderlei could have had his penis deep within this kid's Sigmoid Colon if he wanted to, he was just teasing him.

Happens all the time at my gym. Some newbie works out there for a few weeks, thinks he's got it all figured out then wants to spar with a trainer and tries to establish themselves as no push over out to gates to only get "put in check" early.
That's what those slaps were for. Boxing... you just drop a kidney or liver shot on em and sit em T/F down early to let em know they not ready.

Wandy is my favorite MMA fighter ever. Even past his prime and retired, he could have crippled that boy if he wanted to. Wandy is the one MMA fighter I am genuinelly scared by. His fight with Rampage back in PRIDE when he kneed Rampage into a coma was the most brutal thing ever seen in MMA. Rampage became another guy after that. He lost his nasty attitude and became a lot more humble. That was a really brutal ass-kicking.
