I picked this up on DVD and BLU-Ray and it is from 78 but a great cult classic.  :D

"The Fog" is another one that you need on both Formats.

There were a lotta sick european Horror-Movies from the 70s and 80s, mainly from Italy. The american stuff was soft and mainstream in comparison.

People under the stairs! Might be early 90's but i'll throw it in there anyways.

No, he's talking about Stephen King's 'It', which is a 3 hour movie about a "clown" Pennywise, who terrorizes a small town in the US.

It, BTW, sucks balls and is lamer than a Vince Goodrum most muscular.

Of the movies listed, I'd say 'Aliens' is the best. Other good flicks are 'The Thing', Sleepaway camp, HellRaiser, Maniac cop, Puppet master, People under the stairs, Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm street, Poltergeist, The Fog, The fly, Evil dead and more.

poltergaist very good ,, top 5 but not top 3,, top 3 are the ones i said,, but movies is subjective,,one thing there no argue about ,,no one will argue about exorsist being the best horror movie ever,,also one of the 10 greatest movies of all time

Maximum Overdrive was a weird one. I did find that truck with the green goblin(i think it was anyway) face quite sinister.
Awesome AC/DC soundtrack though.

IT was great until the alien BS towards the end. Ruins the story.

The Hidden (though more of a Sci-Fi flick)
Near Dark
House By The Cemetary
From Beyond
Night Of The Demons
Demons
Demons 2
Zombie
The Hitcher
Fright Night

Way too many to go further.........80`s was a great decade for horror.

Kiwi,I love movies in general, but have always been a big horror movie fan.......my favorite genre` by far.

Most of todays "horror" movies suck ass bigtime, but yes I still watch them.

I mostly watch older stuff as a rule though....I own a few thousnd movies, some on VHS but I refuse to part with them as they are not out on DVD as of yet.

Pet Cemetary was a good film, maybe 7 / 10 for its time.

My problem is that they are all being remade now, the Nightmare remake was awful. Fright Night is being given the modern touch which is a real shame and they are inevitably going to ruin an entire genre instead of leaving things as they were.

Just a shot in the dark, but does anyone remember "Monster Squad"?! Not exactly a horror by definition but an 80's monster film that oozed quality. There was also another called 976 evil, wasnt too bad for its time either. And there was one i recall where 2 kids inavertently open a portal to Hell in their back garden - any idea on the name???

Just watched I spit on your grave the new release - and fucking hell.
I would say I am pretty desensitized but I had a hard time watching the 15 min of rape - its heartbreaking.
Chick looks amazing too.

The torture at the end was fucking badass as well - the guy with the water and lime or what ever she put in that water :D
And the cop getting raped by his shotgun :D

she loved it I bet... where do you find these films, god damn... nothing beats a nice detailed uncut rape scene.... hottest thing there is

watched the trailer and it seems the rape scene wouldn't be too hot anyways.... personally the movie would have had a perfect ending to the rape scene with some nice "candle light" dinner backround music.

i was just going to mention fright night, easily a top 3 horror movie for me, i love the music it was done by the same guy that did the terminator music

i'm surprised they would remake it, i always thought it was one of the more unknown and underrated horror movies, even though tv guide gave it 3 out of 4 stars

monster squad is excellent, i probably watched it 20 times back in the 80's, probably the only "scary" movie people of all ages would enjoy

E
