Bloomberg brought a little muscle to the gun show.
In a move reaching far beyond the New York City mayor's turf, Bloomberg sent private, undercover investigators to an Arizona gun show. And Bloomberg says his agents found sellers peddling their wares even after buyers said they likely wouldn't pass a background check.
The sort-of sting operation is Bloomberg's latest tack in pushing for more and better background checks in the wake of the Tucson shooting.
"We have demonstrated how easy it is for anyone to buy a semi-automatic handgun and a high capacity magazine, no questions asked," he said.

I thought this would be a bigger deal.
What the F business does a mayor in one state, have in sending undercovers across the country to play undercover cop in another state?
-
Maybe he did it as a private citizen.
However, I do realize the serious threat people like him pose to your 2nd amendment rights to pose naked with a glock.

I do look sexy with that thing, dont i?

These guys are private dealers. Most people buy there guns from storefronts that do background checks, so it seems like they did this video just to further his cause knowing that most people don't read the fine print. Yes it's illegal to go through with the sale if they know the person will fail a check. But honestly many people think they can fail the check due to bad credit, suspended liceses and other petty offenses. I know this first hand becuase I have heard peopl say this and seen it when buying my own weapons. this is all bs.

the MVA (DMV) licenses people to drive who are blind, crazy, criminal, or just completely stupid. these same people have the power to plow 4500 pounds into a crowd of people on a whim. to make matters worse the gov't encourages continuing this.
should we ban cars?

I'm all for the restriction of the issuing of DLs.
