sergio and arnold are in the same only time multiple winners on same stage too..oh, arnold and zane in the 80's too
yates was beaten by the better man on the day, as we all know, haney couldnt have lived with him in the next few years

True,Zane against Haney in munich in 83,and Sergio against Haney in 84 and 85.

Haney deserved the win there.
Dorian clealy had better hair though.
-
Yates got destoyed.
But Yates got destroyed by many bodybuilders, even though he walked away with the trophy. Nasser in particular comes to mind.

so you want it to be a long thread :P
-
Damn Haney looks awesome there. Was he pre insulin?
-
See the video, Haney was too big. Dorian looks pretty awesome there.
-
Not even close Haney is so much better than Dorian.
Same muscle mass with better lines, simmetry and proportions.
Haney is the greatest bodybuilder ever!

x2 !

Not quite the destruction you claim. Lee won the relaxed round, Dorian won the muscularity round.
Im pretty sure that Dorian was placed third in the posing round which meant he was only 2nd overall.

Yates just edged the muscle round but Haney easily won the rest it wasn't very close.
-
haney retired just in time
-
haney's calves were very good for a dark man!!..
-
haney may still have won in 92 but 93 on would have been all yates.
-
dorian had yet to peak
-
enjoy using my 91 pics. i have a whole lot more of them too.

I'm sure a Getbig "expert" will come along and tell you exactly what he was taking...because they magically know what drugs someone they never met put into their bodies 20 years ago ;)
-

But the muscularity round is where the physiques are compared side by side and Dorian won. But Lee did win the relaxed and posing rounds and that was enough to take home the Sandow.

Honestly i think Dorian's lines were good before he really pushed his size. Haney won there, too much thickness and maturity.
I don't think Haney was aesthetic though, sort of baffles me a little that people think he was.
Yates lines look better here.

Ummm more than once Multi- O winners faced off...
Sergio vs Arnold vs Zane 1972
Zane vs Arnold 1980
Ronnie vs Jay
Haney vs Yates
Yates vs Ronnie

no you cant count yates vs ronnie because they were not fighting for the same title (as the thread starter menat)!!.. till dorian retired ronnie wasnt any threat against him!..

Haney Deserved 1991 over Yates, better Presentation of the physiue and posing and more polished overall etc... 1992 Yates looked somewhat simmlier to 1991 (give or take) in 1993 Haney in his 1991 shape (arguably his best) wouldn't of stood a chance against a peak Yates.

LOL....like there is a consistency to the way these "contests" are "judged" ::)

The straight firsts in the posedown kinda helped too.

You guys say Yates would have won in 93? How do you know? Haney was 31 when he retired and said in his last Mr. O that he just learned how to peak. I don't believe we ever say the best of him.

no man we were talking about his version of 91 against yates version of 93!!.. sure no one can be 100% sure if haney could keep improving (size wise) or not.. but when you think he competed in 9 olympias it's hard to believe he could improve more,.. i mean sure he tried everything during all these years!!.. imo which of course may be wrong,.. i believe a bigger version of haney would be soft and lacking some details and what he needed to go with yates of 93 was more size!!..

You know Sherief, when Nasser isnt involved, youre actually quite objective.
Im impressed.

no dude even when the wizard is involved i am objective.. i never for example said he was better than yates in 95..

Cmon man. Everyone is biased. That would be like me saying Im totally objective when Yates is involved... Of course Im biased.
Probably the most objective I am Is when I say that Nasser should have beat Yates in 97. Hell I think Yates shouldnt have even entered in 97.

we are not really biased my friend but we like to exaggerate things on GB for fun.. this is like putting sauce on your food :P
and believe me as a yates fan too i felt bad for him in 97..

sergio in the 80's not a contender unfortunately

haney retired just in time
on top of his game, and undefeated
-

it did look pretty close, yates was tighter, haney had a better chest and back
when it could go either way, the reigning champ gets it, and Im glad he did
-
Haney deserved his win in 91 and it's possible he might have been able to beat 92 Yates. Maybe.
But 93 Yates would have beat anything Haney brought to the stage decisively.
Haney got out at the right time, he saw a nightmare when he saw Dorian, a guy who was as big as him and willing to push EVERYTHING to the limit. Haney did the smart thing.
-

that s the point
multi mr o are:
yates
arnold
ronnie
haney
the only year two of them were on stage together near their best was 1991
get it
yates was 2nd , haney 1st
coleman s best against yates was 6th
that s not exactly a battle between those two
