Anybody else picking The Rock for guest host of this year's Mania?
-
That's who I was thinking..and Raw is in CA so it makes sense to announce it there.
-
Maybe Austin or Goldberg?
-
I was hoping Austin (but then I always do!), maybe the new Tough Enough, which starts the following night (?) could be a reason for him. But Rock would be cool as well.
-
After watching Raw last night....
"You smell what the Rock is cooking?!" ;D

Not at all! I am happy to see him back!
"You stupid jabroni, you spilled water all over the Rock's shoes! The Rock's shoes cost 1,000 dollars!". Circa 1999 when Foley lost the title to Triple H on Raw and the "Game" era began....

When you think about it, heel Rock borrowed quite a few things from The Nature Boy, but nothing was ever a blatant rip-off.

I think Rock watched wrestling so much growing up, that the talk just came naturally for him. i remember the very first interview he conducted in that persona, with some chick, me and my buddies laughed our asses off as it was so different than anything he had done before...and the 3rd person stuff was gold.

I believe Rock creditted Russo for that idea, which I think is pretty big of him to do.

I wonder if after spending time with Rock that Russo just kinda thought, "damn this guy is funny and cocky, let's turn him loose....." If so, I give him respect for that. It goes back to what we've been saying about let people be who they are.

Careful now....
We may end up with David Arquette as the "annonymous Raw GM"....

I couldn't agree more.
Sometimes I wonder if Vince loves power too much to allow that to happen.
Of course, I can't confirm that either way, but if that is the case, maybe he's acknowledged the reality, which is that his product was markedly better when - among other things - the talent had more input & control.
There was more to it than that, but the talent's freedom/creativity was a big part of it, IMO.

No, it will be a David Arquette vs. Judy Bagwell main event with John Morrison working a Sunday Night Heat match before the PPV.
