I've seen tons of Haley fights while he played for their farm team in Bridgeport CT, the Sound Tigers.
Where a fight happens, they crazy mofo is usually there.

As for Swedes - I met Eric Karlson as the NHL allstar game in NC.

That was a regular game in the 1970's. I go to many hockey games and the crowd goes crazy for fights, it's part of the game

God only knows if black kids in states took up hockey and started kicking white kids asses on the ice. Mother's Against Violence in Sports would be outside the doors with banners. in other words if nhl was 50% blk...fans would be lucky if they allowed 1 fight a game. ::)

Wrong. NBA and NFL are dominated by blacks and their "fights" are a complete joke. ..look at when a fight does break out, it's a total laugh-fest......

true. i enjoy the NFL, hate the NBA, but both are dominated by blacks and none of them can fight for shit.....look like a couple of 7th grade girls slap boxing....especially the NBA which is almost totally a black sport. Hell, even most NFL fights are a joke. Leave the fighting to the guys who know how to do it, hockey players.

i assume you meant NHL....and I agree. We did business with the Carolina Hurricanes, so I met a few of them.....much bigger than people think and more importantly they know HOW to fight...

i heard an interview on the radio one day here, black player named Teyshaun Prince and they asked him about fighting.....he just died laughing and said NOBODY in the NBA could really fight....and he grew up in a shitty area of LA....he said basketball players are too afraid of hurting their hands, which is what makes them money....it was a funny conversation.

Those dudes without skates on can probably beat the piss out most other professional athletes just by staying on such balance.
That guy Haley is bad ass mofo though- I have seen him up close fight wth guys on the ice and I have never sen him lose. He ws just brought up from the AHL where there are even better fights.

Their balance is freakish.....I was at their training complex for a couple of days and they were doing all kinds of crazy stuff......talk about "functional strength" it didn't even look real. It's cool too, because here in Raleigh, they have a great reputation in the community....stay out of trouble, nice homes but not overboard, do a lot of charity work.....when you meet them, they all seem very low key.

Seeing that HBO special with the Caps v. Pens was awesome for that. They really are probably the most well rounded atheltes by far.

they were doing some VO2 testing when I was there.....ALL of the numbers I saw were crazy good. Another thing is that they maintain a ton of flexibility....especiall y the goal keeps. Cam Ward was doing all kinds of crazy looking stretches.....I would have been crippled by them. haha

And Clark and Kordic fought anyone and everyone including Probert multiple times. Probert had 50lbs on those guys also. 50lbs, reach and height advantage means A LOT. Lets not forget Probert was high on coke half the time. LOL

Yea, hockey players are a tough breed and really don't give 2 shits who they're fighting. They don't make tough guys like those we mentioned anymore. Chris Simon, Harold Snepts, Chris Nilan etc.

Wendel is really only considered a hero in TO. He's somewhat overrated in the fighting department, but yes, he was a hard-nosed player. His own cousin (Joey Kocur) was much, much tougher and a far better fighter. John Kordic was a pillow puncher, fast hands, but nothing behind them. His use of coke and steroids finally caused his heart to explode during an arrest - you've probably heard the story.
Probert is the best overall hockey fighter I've ever seen. But when the Bruise Brothers ruled the NHL you were still better off fighting Probert than Kocur. Probert would beat you, but Kocur could end your career. If you inserted a prime Bob Probert, Behn Wilson, Dave Brown, or Nick Fotiu into today's NHL the league wouldn't know what to do with them.

nfl nba players dont have to fight, they are busy doing things. such as scoring, running, tackling, hitting three pointers, dunking, shot blocking, catching touchdowns
in hockey well we have no score, nothing much going on but some frenchmen sliding around on ice playing soccer,
so yeah i can see how they would fight, nothing else to do

Yeah okay. Whats more boring then basketball? These guys go back and fourth shooting baskets. Ballers sleep until noon, smoke a bong and then try to decide what there going to do with there hair all before their game.
Football has been so watered down since the 1970's it's useless to watch. These guys with there long hair wouldn't have it anymore if they faced guys like Butkus.
Hockey is fast and intense. It actually takes skill.

When talking fighters don't forget Tony Twist and Gino Odjick. Gino would throw down any time and if he lost would drop the gloves his next shift. The Canucks need someone who can throw their hands now that Rypien is off on personal leave.

The Tony Twist/Rob Ray fights were great as were the Domi/Ray fights. Kordic was the master, totally off his rocker. The best was when Kordic fought his brother-insane. Well, it was, found out Kordic was mollested by his hockey coach when he was younger, then slipped into using drugs and steroids so he kinda was unstable.

Les, lowside out of the fast lefthanders where you had passed me earlier. Some rash where the leathers burnt my skin. My baby finger on left hand may be broke. Bike bodywork is rough and tank got dented.Still one of the funnest days I ever had. Thanks for all the help.
