i didnt like the social network

I liked

the town
expendables
winters bone

-social network I expected alot more - c'on algorythms and code fragments, deep voice harvard guys, court preceedding, commentary from a kid that talks to damn fast - liked him better in zombieland but he did good job at portrayin a douchebag

I just watched The Town on Blu-Ray.  I thought it was good but nothing remarkable.  I would like to throw a hump in Blake Lively.

True Grit is my favorite movie of the year.

Is True Grit really that good? Trailer looks good but first review I read said Matt Damon is miscast and Josh Brolin doesn't deliver as the bad guy.
I really wanna see this though

I thought it was very good but I like almost everything the Coen brothers do.  Jeff Bridges is great in it and the girl (don't know her name) really shines, she will probably get an Oscar nom.  Brolin was a bit lackluster.  He really wasn't in it that much.

The Town has been my favouite film of the year so far, but I've still to watch The Social Network, True Grit, and The Fighter - all of which I've heard are pretty good.

Not sure how it actually went down, but it does make him look like an asshole. I can see why he might object.

Damon is is not really miscast, he just plays (wrongly) goofy for the first hour and then gets real/serious in the second hour. Josh Brolin wasn't given much of a role to work with and he plays the bad guy lightly, almost as a simp, so when he dies you don't feel any catharsis. Bridges is solid but never really seems to get a hold of 'Rooster.' The girl, tho, is flat-out amazing. I've never heard of her before, but she had me amazed given the dialogue - leagues better than Kim Darby. And I really liked the Coen's scenery and cinematography, and their downbeat ending. I'd give it a solid 8/10.

I'm watching the original now and I have to say, the remake is better in every regard. Every character is more watchable and entertaining in the Coens' version.

Jumper was pretty good and is underrated. Only reason most people don't like it is because of Hayden Christensen.

True Grit was my least favorite Coen Bros movie.  Kind of boring.  Bridges accent too thick -- I missed half of what he said.

Excellent, excellent choice, but the Academy rarely rewards such brave, guerilla-type auteurism.

He said some parts of the movie were accurate but that some really simple things were reenacted completely wrong.  How can you screw up simple things?  I guess it was all for dramatic effect.  It worked.

where did he say really simple things? I recall an interview when he said Alot of it I think.

that ruins it for me at least.
