Title: Did mark wahlberg juice for 'the fighter' ?

Haha no, in 'The Fighter', Bale plays a crackhead who's lost a lot of weight/muscle (compared to his peak) over the first half of the movie.

Actually the machinist was a low budget flick. It cost roughly 5 million to make. It only grossed a million dollars in America and 8 million world wide.
