This sucks.

I had some smaller earthquakes since i moved to Japan last year, but they always frighten the shit out of me, because i am absolutely not used to it. If the walls start shaking and the books in the shelf start to rattle, i always prepare myself to run, lol.

All the nz studs from this board should be fine.

Looks like its the worst day in nz's history tho. Death toll is at 65 but its going to be a lot higher than that.

Heaps of people still unaccounted for.... maybe dead or alive in buildings. Not good :(

Good to hear that 3 prolific posters are ok this is going on to often in NZ what are the seismographic details on the region? Maybe consider a move to Western NC but Goodrum is there but no earthquakes you would have to weigh the risks.
