The show defiantly makes him appear bigger than he is, irl when he was in shape he looked like your average 160 pound guy.To be fair though he has cancer so I'm sure any muscle he did have is long gone in that pic.

I liked it ... I downloaded "Blood and Sand" now .. My problem with the show is that all gladiators are twinks almost. I wonder what would happen if they transported Overeem back in those times .. jeesh

No,this is the second season {6 shows} of the show.I haven't seen any of the shows from the first season.

Not enough man.... my small bedroom TV broke during our move and my wife doesnt want us to get another one cause she's liking the no TV in the bedroom concept! Blah, whatever I just got a new Android Tablet and she got me an XBOX for Christmas so I have no room to complain LOL

If you only saw 5 min...and I'm guessing the first show...then you missed something that was better than 300, in all actuality, the way they got Roman society and the political manuevering was great...whether it be the selling of slaves or using a public restroom, that is very public, or how the gladiators were rewarded or treated...there was more of a in depth glimpse into the historical context, character development, while weaving a gory tale for the viewer---Something that can only be done in a TV series than cannot be done in 2-3 hour movie.

more gratuitous tits n sex n' nudity. Lucy Lawless said she felt much more comfortable

First episode did NO justice to the rest of the series.

The political plotting and intrigue was excellent. It wasn't all just violence.
